Are you going to watch TWD season 9?

After the last one. I thought that was enough. I can't sit through another load of crap like that.
But now it is upon us I'm wavering.

Don't know what to do.

I will watch and probably moan about it the whole time. I need to know what happens. Pissed me off the most when Rick didn't kill Negan..that's what it's been building to, it was so stupid🙄think they really need to finish it now.

I must be one of the few that can't wait for it. I was so pleased Carl/Coral got killed off but they dragged his death out too much which made it painful. I love Negan (mainly for his dark and twisted humour). So many of the other characters can be squeaky clean. I think there's a new director on season 9 and new plot line with a group called the Whisperers. According to comic fans it's the best storyline by far.

Why were you pleased Carl got killed off? You just didn't like the character? But apparently in the comic books it is kind of set up that the whole story is being told by Carl as an old man. Therefore he represented a sign of hope and continuity for the future. But the show producers have seen fit to mess with that. And I think Carl and Judith were what kept Rick going. So now Carl's gone, (even though i didn't find his character that amazing to be honest), it feels like there's no hope.

I did like Negan at the start, but have got sick of hearing the sound of his voice going on and on, how he loves to talk! Just kill him off please, he deserves it and it's way overdue. The Governor was a much more interesting villain I feel, unfortunately he wasn't around for that long.

Yep I'll be watching but feeling a strong sense of disappointment all the way through no doubt. Not sure I will watch once Rick goes to be honest.

Yes I’ll still watch it, I’ve recently heard a rumour about someone else dying who hasn’t been mentioned on here.

Apparently two time jumps, Judith will finally be the same age as the twins who play her. Probably the reason they haven’t bothered to replace them the last two seasons

@Pemba Carl was just very naive for someone who has gone through the apocalypse. He reminded me of a Kevin Costner type character ("let's do some good"). Everytime he would speak, I was like oh puuurleease! As someone who hasn't read the comics, I just thought Carl was just a bit too soft to deal with it all. I blame the writing more than him of course.

I doubt Negan will survive much longer. He's outstayed his welcome I think, but he has been my favourite baddie. Rick was interesting for a while, but after having Judith, he got very Kevin Costnerish too. Maybe the American (and some British) audiences like that? My favourite characters (on the goodie side) are Daryl and Michonne, so I would be gutted if either of them got killed off. Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) has other projects going on as does Maggie's character, so they are either going to be killed off or MIA for a while.

I would say to anyone considering watching Fear the Walking Dead to just not bother. It's awful! Terrible storyline and far too much poetic license. Such a shame as Morgan went onto that show and I think it's a bad move. Hopefully he will return to TWD one day.

He hasn't left. These are the rumours and TWD have been known to leak information that isn't necessarily true. Always take it with a pinch of salt.

I've never seen so much bitching about a telly program. Just don't watch it man Grin

Personally I can't wait and I'm definitely excited at the news that Andrew Lincoln is coming on as a producer. Apparently they've got 10 years left of material so maybe it'll trundle on for a bit.

I agree completely with this! The Governor was a much more interesting character. Negan is a tedious caricature. I was very disappointed as I like JDM, but I found myself turning down the volume during the first episode he was in as I couldn't stand the sound of the violence. I didn't watch the rest.

Then last week I heard about AL leaving and I was curious so I started to watch the rest, assuming that Negan would have been long gone my now. I checked out IMDb and was put out to see that he's still around, but I decided to stick with it. I admit that I didn't pay close attention to all the episodes so I might pop by here and ask a question or two.

It will be starting here, (Canada), on Sunday, does the UK get it at them same time or is there a delay?

I used to watch it on the edge of my seat but last series I found myself drifting off during episodes . I'm really hoping it picks up again or this will be the last season for me.
