American Horror Story season 8- APOCALYPSE *no spoilers *

Anyone watching this?

I haven't actually seen the first episode yet, I'm currently watching Murder House, as I've heard it is connected. I watched it 4 years ago, so trying to remember what happened.

I liked it, but fear it won’t live up to my all time fave series - Freak Show. Twisty still gives me nightmares.

I really liked the one that Lady Gaga was in, was that Hotel? I thought that was good and yes to Freak Show.

Lady Gaga was also in the Roanoke one as the forest witch character. She is a FAB actress.

I'm watching it just now on NowTv while DD is in the other room doing homework.

I'm not sure I like the fact that they haven't been putting any supernatural elements into the last 2 seasons. Not as creepy as the others. Only ten minutes in so far - so far it's gripping me enough to keep going with it. My favourite season was either Murder House or Freak Show or Hotel. Oh no it was Asylum! Loved them all except Roanoke and Cult. Thought those were dire.

Oh yes! I totally forgot about Asylum. Loved that one too.

I wish this season was on Netflix, because all I end up doing is forgetting what happened and I end up losing interest.

I am finding this one a bit too disturbing really. After all, nuclear war, it's the ultimate horror. And nothing supernatural (= imaginary) about it, so far. So I've put off watching it until tonight.

Is that Joan Collins? - how on earth is she still going and not looking particularly different from 20 years ago?

Is this the last series, does anyone know? A dismal note to go out on.

Oh IMDB tells me there are going to be 10 series, and this is season 8. But how can anything else happen after the nuclear winter etc?

Unless series 9 and 10 are set in the past, which has happened before. (Asylum (1960s?), Freak Show (50s?), maybe others I can't remember).

Or maybe the nuclear war stuff will turn out to have been an illusion or bad dream? Let's hope so!

Don't worry about it! It is annoying when UK channels broadcast things just a few weeks behind America, I wish they wouldn't do that. Means you have to avoid information about the show coming from the US, which you would otherwise probably be interested in looking at. It was even worse with The Handmaid's Tale! Why can everything be broadcast globally, or at least the next day (to cover time differences)?

That's the trouble with it being shown at different speeds. One of our friends is watching ahead by streaming. They keep posting photos of images / actors appearing in it on FB. We said 'no spoilers please' but (on their planet) spoilers is saying what has happened in the show, not revealing all the surprise scenes or characters. They're temporarily blocked.

So.. what did everyone think of episode 2? I'm confused about the ending with Kathy Bates. I have an idea about what I think could be happening with the Sarah Paulson character that might link with Coven, but I'm probably wrong.

Jumping in - so far I'm really disappointed, I haven't heard any spoilers but my american friends have told me to persevere. I fear this may be like hotel as in there are too many elements (so far nucelar winter, Antichrist, murder house connections, Coven connections and now robots), kind of like Asylum where the Alien plot lost me. I am curious as to who the man in the rubber suit is... Tate or the other ghosts cannot leave the house, so is it Michael?

Murder House is my favourite season, none of the others have managed to capture the magic.

I might rewatch Murder House too OP as people are saying there are lots of links to it in Apocalypse, and like you it's been ages.

I was so pleasantly surprised to see how good of an actress Lady Gaga was in Hotel. Was expecting a wooden cameo, don't know why.
