I'm wondering if GasKill might start self-medicating in an attempt to get rid of Roxanna's ghost. That whole "you can change your medication but your conscience will always haunt you" comment made me think he might try to convince himself he has nothing to feel guilty about because it was "necessary" & try to get rid of his guilt with pills. Guy Self would be in prime position to notice an addiction in surgery. Maybe he'd assume he was just sad over the death of his friend & attempt to support him, only for GasKill to let something slip. That would be a long storyline though.

Any thoughts on why he kept the murderer alive? He said something about redemption coming in many forms - whose redemption? Did he save him because he felt bad about doing it one time & couldn't bring himself to kill again? Or because it would look bad on him if his patients kept dying? Or because he was demonstrating his power - no-one gets to tell him when to kill?! Or simply because killing him served no purpose to GasKill? Note, at no point do I think it had anything to do with the murderer - it's always about GasKill!

I haven't seen it but knowing GasKill how we do it's about ego. Letting someone die who could be saved would damage his ego unless he could justify his death in the service of his own science

Isn't Self coming back for just an episode?

What was that little note they kept showing that was written by Roxanna? I couldn’t make it out?

I really thought HH was on to Gaskill and I’m very disappointed that he has just let it go. It just didn’t seem the HH thing to do and I lost a little bit of respect for him actually....

I can’t believe Gaskill has been allowed to go - this storyline has such potential but now it feels like it’s all just going to be brushed under the carpet.

I also found it amusing that Steve had a bag with him at work in order to ride off into the distance.....how ridiculous.

The other week he was taken in by Fletch to recuperate after the operation because he needed looking after and now he’s back at work but also well enough to do just do a runner and be on his own.

I loved what Sachs said to Gaskill too!!

I hate Guy Self almost as much as I hate GasKill (loving the play on his name). I also think Henrick has just patted him on the back to give him a false sense of security and buy himself time to get to the truth...which will be partially on that tape!

Solo I hope you are right. HH must get to the truth.

I thought Selfie was going to come back and save Roxanna, thus exposing Gaskill.

Another disliker of Self here. I was beginning to think that neuro surgeons were all of an unpleasant type, but have just read Do No Harm by Henry Marsh, and he sounds much nicer than the HC variety.

Perhaps he could apply for a job there and sort the whole.thing out in one episode. 😜

Hmmm. Was it just me or was there zero chemistry in that kiss?

Yeah - there didn’t seem much passion in that kiss.

I did find myself laughing a few times in this episode, it was quite nice to see some humorous and light hearted scenes.

Can't believe what J said to F. Even for her that was below the belt.

Oh Jac that was unbelievably cruel. I went from cheering at the TV to shouting at it!

My first instinct was that she was just saying it as an excuse and that she didn’t really mean it and she just said that me first thing that came in to her head to put an end to the kiss and to stop herself from having to confront her true feelings.

However, on reflection it actually sounded like she did mean it. Nasty woman.

I think from her conversation afterwards with Fletch Jr that she panicked about losing a friend and said it to back out of the kiss. But the kiss was so unconvincing for me that I didn't care.

I enjoyed a whole episode off from bloody Gaskill and his plot of doom.

I was surprised that Malick was sharing baby pix with Dom as I thought their relationship ended acrimoniously?

Jac is quite a damaged soul, I think self-sabotage played a bit of a part in why that scene played out as it did. What Evie said to her about her being scared of breaking his heart seemed to touch a nerve.
The next few weeks should be interesting....!

Both the actors have said they’ve fought against doing a relationship between their characters. So today surprised me.

I cheered to at the kiss but, I'm so disappointed that it went nowhere yet :(

Yes to no Gaskill and no Essie but boo hiss to no HH.

I doubt they will have a romantic storyline now will they between Jac and Fletch because I’m pretty sure he won’t bother persuing one and nor will she.

That new doctor is really, really annoying. She seems so pointless and I wish they’d just write her out already!

That kiss was really awkward. After all the months of build up and his line about liking what he saw, then that horrible kiss from Jac and then Fletch's back. How weird. They were much more passionate in the Bill!

Hopefully they will drop that story line now. Interesting that the actors didn't want it to happen, wonder what is behind that?

I thought exactly the same! I’m not sure I’d want to share a bathroom with Sacha....

I also found it quite amusing that Jason just happened to have a laptop at work to look up proposal methods...

The actors are good friends in real life, so that's why they weren't keen. I saw an interview where Rosie Marcel said she thought it would be a bit like kissing her brother!
It certainly looked awkward. But I hope something comes of it in future episodes.....

Felt sorry for Fletch on the 'not good enough for me'thing
