Anyone watching? Just trying to work out what Ange just said to Dazzle's mum.

SoupDragon · 26/03/2019 20:30

Ange handed over her baby to Carole when she was 14. Could she be Dom's mother??

sluj · 26/03/2019 20:32

Getting more far fetched every week Sad

PretendLife · 26/03/2019 20:33

Ange is Dom's mum and Frieda is treating illegal immigrants in the basement....!!!!!!! Could Holby get anymore ridiculous?!

MyOtherProfile · 26/03/2019 20:40

Honestly, Holby has really jumped the shark now. It's just a joke this week. What a ridiculous story line. Some coincidence huh?

MyOtherProfile · 26/03/2019 20:41

And how old is Ange's daughter?

NymphInYellow · 26/03/2019 20:50

I half jokingly said to my ds last week that Dom was banging on to Chloe about how they were like family, and she'd turn out to be his long lost sister. He must've said 'family' about a million times and how he felt like he'd known her for years. It was like they were really labouring the point. But I'm still a bit Shock

dontdoxmeeither · 26/03/2019 21:13

How bloody ridiculous was that??

QueenofmyPrinces · 26/03/2019 22:09

Well I didn’t see that coming!!

So glad Frieda is leaving.

TotalNoob · 26/03/2019 22:16

Chloe must only be a couple of years younger than Dom? She did say last week that she was brought up by her grandparents as her mum was away at uni. Very clunky storyline. I felt so sorry for Carole. She’s done nothing wrong and raised a happy (for Holby) and successful man. And her husband was/is a horrible pig iirc.

I can’t even bring myself to comment on Frieda.

MyOtherProfile · 26/03/2019 22:27

I didn't understand where Frieda is going. And once again I have to ask does nobody have to work out their notice at Holby?

TotalNoob · 26/03/2019 22:30

She’s going back to Ukraine. Muttered something about Medcin Sans Frontiers recruiting.

It’s not just the lack of working any notice period, it’s the immediate flight out of the country Hmm

MyOtherProfile · 26/03/2019 22:40

Very fortuitous! And managing to get the dog microchipped in time too... or did I get that wrong and he's staying?

TotalNoob · 26/03/2019 22:53

Dog going with them. How would Evan (?) get out of the country anyway as he was there illegally wasn’t he?

SoupDragon · 27/03/2019 06:17

Gary might already have had a pet passport and is very likely to be chipped already (mine is). A flight isn't too unlikely - we've managed a same day flight in the past.

The work notice period is standard for Holby, I think is in their contract terms. 😂😂

JuniorAsparagus · 27/03/2019 07:36

I think it is Ivan, with a Ukrainian accent.
I liked Frieda but she had become a shadow of her former self.
I knew someone who was adopted and didn't find out until he went to University. I seem to remember he had a medical and was asked about whether a particular condition ran in the family, at which point his parents had to admit they didn't know because he was adopted. They also said 'We always meant to tell you, but the time was never right'.
All a bit far fetched re Ange and Chloe turning up at the same hospital though.
Ange previously hinted about some kind of abuse. Does that mean Dom is the product of a relationship with an authority figure ( teacher/priest/family friend)?

SleepingStandingUp · 27/03/2019 07:39

I assumed Chloe was the product of rape when Ange was remembering her chat with Holly but maybe it was Dom

ChoccyJules · 27/03/2019 09:21

Yes, I wondered how Ivan was going to get through check-in onto the handy flight in a couple of hours.

ChoccyJules · 27/03/2019 09:22

And in general, why do I keep watching it? Every week more saggy plots leaking all over the place, it’s a mess.

QueenofmyPrinces · 27/03/2019 09:28

Maybe Fearless Frieda will manage to bundle him into the hold with all the suitcases....

HalleLouja · 27/03/2019 16:55

I read about the Dom plot before watching it this week and think it’s time for a break. I will be back..... Even the Gaskill story was more realistic than this shambles.

TotalNoob · 27/03/2019 20:28

Would an adoption taking place in 1987 consisted of the 14yr old mother handing the newborn over to the adoptive parents in person? Seems highly unlikely but I know nothing of these things.

MyOtherProfile · 27/03/2019 20:37

And in general, why do I keep watching it?

This. Only actually I'm only ever half watching it while reading the paper or playing scrabble on my phone. Explains why I sometimes just have to ask you lot what's going on.

spiderlight · 27/03/2019 20:40

But this was a Holby adoption. She'd have handed over the baby in person on the day she made the decision, and then walked away across a car park with a holdall, looking back meaningfully just once.

(Apologies if that's hideously insensitive)

TotalNoob · 27/03/2019 20:45

Why can’t they let Dom just be happy for a while Sad
