New thread for us

Did Lana die? I know Josh died but I thought Lana was in ITU after they'd done their ridiculous non-sterile emergency patch-up. And who was that random bloke in the background while they were doing that? I assumed he was an anaesthetist and then they said 'We need an anaesthetist down here'.

I think it all happened overnight. They gave a time of death as 2.10 am or something, and then the lake scene was at sunrise.

AGnu · 14/11/2018 10:48

Maybe attempting to wash the neurotoxin off would've made it more easily absorbed by the skin. Obviously HH would've known this & so half-heartedly dabbing at it was the most sensible thing to do!

I quite enjoyed the bizarre lake scenes, but then I do like it when HH gets all angsty. Another highlight for me was Fletch with his tie tucked into his shirt.

Apparently, I only watch it for the skinny guys in suits! Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 14/11/2018 11:55

I want Elliot back.

HalleLouja · 14/11/2018 20:32

I think Gaskill faked his death. Poor HH first his son being unhinged then his bestie killed the love of his life. Will he ever recover?

PiggeryPorcombe · 14/11/2018 20:43

I half expected the final scene to be Gaskil being handed a cocktail by a glam cabin crew personage and the captain saying over the airwaves “we are now at 40,000 feet and will be arriving in Honolulu in 10hrs time”.

IndigoHen · 14/11/2018 20:43

I think Gaskill faked it too.

QueenofmyPrinces · 14/11/2018 20:55

I don’t understand why Jac didn’t die?

When he administered the Neurotoxin to Roxanna she died withIn minutes so why wouldn’t he have just given the same to Jac?

What was the point in giving her
Something really slow releasing if he knew people were on to him? Surely he’d want the job done fast?

I would have thought a neurotoxin was a neurotoxin and they couldn’t be made to work in different ways and at different speeds?

I also thought it odd that he didn’t kill Essie seeing as he realised that she was on to him too? Why bother just sedating her when he knew she’d just spill the beans when she woke up? And what was the significance of the glass of water? Had he left it there just in case she was thirsty? It just seemed a bit odd.

I loved the episode but some parts of it just didn’t make much sense.

As has been said, Josh died at 02.00am, they found Lana in the lab in the early hours of the morning and then HH rushed off to the lake yet it was clearly daytime when that happened considering how dark the early mornings are....

But anyway - I can’t wait for next week’s episode!!!!!!

SleepingStandingUp · 15/11/2018 00:48

Just caught up.

He needed Rox to die quickly so perhaps he just gave her more? A small dose to Jac that would kill her more slowly without her ever waking up might seem less suspicious.

So Josh died at 2, he operated on Jac which would have taken a few hours and he operated half arsedly on Lana which was possibly another hours. Then he drove to the lake. It could easily add up to say 8 am, so all the doctors sitting around in the atrium would be off shift, HH too.

Essie I assume he has a glass and stuff down there as he works down their so often. Not killing her is an odd one. He seems to only kill to suit his medical needs so perhaps he just didn't think it necessary. He'd do something and it would resolve with t him having to kill her too. He seems to care about Essie not feeling guilty but clearly him caring isn't enough to stop him killing, as per Rox

PiggeryPorcombe · 15/11/2018 06:59

I had to laugh at Saint Essie The Influencer and her friend the coroner that she’d persuaded to do a post mortem on Roxanna Hmm But then they did an absolute shit job as they’d failed to spot the fricking cable tie that Gaskil had put in her brain Confused

SoupDragon · 15/11/2018 07:09

I think he left the glass there so it looked like she had taken the drugs herself in a suicide attempt. I think she was meant to die but has a freak resistance to diazepam.

I imagine a neurotoxin can be made diluted or strong depending on your personal requirements. I don't know why he didn't want Jack to die though - maybe he made a mistake or she is already capable of being pretty poisonous so is immune 😂

Optimist1 · 15/11/2018 07:55

Piggery - you've given me a good laugh to start the day with Saint Essie the Influencer and the cable tie! Grin

ChoccyJules · 15/11/2018 11:49

I thought it looked like he’d left Essie in the morgue, or at least the post-mortem room.

StrongTea · 15/11/2018 12:03

Really odd, Gaskill put a sort of pillow under Essie’s head. Very caring.

NymphInYellow · 15/11/2018 12:29

Yes, I don't know why he told Essie about the stem cells and didn't kill her. Maybe he thought she'd sleep long enough for him to make his escape. But why tell her at all?

I'm also expecting him to not be dead. Maybe Hanssen will wake up in hospital with no idea how he got there, and it'll turn out that GasKill called an ambulance before legging it to Honolulu.

Floweroct2 · 15/11/2018 13:32

And what happened to Abigail Tate thought it was a bit weird how she suddenly left off screen?!

QuilliamCakespeare · 15/11/2018 13:57

Bloody hell, that was weird but intense. So frustrated that Gaskell has potentially swum to freedom Honolulu. I want to see him hang!

Can't wait for next week.

PretendLife · 15/11/2018 17:59

So does that mean because Jac didn't have the same stem cells as Josh, her thingy is ok and can stay in place and she will still be able to walk?

They would have to dredge up Gaskill's body from the lake so we should find out if he ended up in there or not?

Love the way Jac mentioned Fletch having Emma if anything happened to her, because her real father would be fine with that then?! Not to mention Fletch already being on Social Services radar for the neglect of his own kids. He didn't bother to check with Evie if she would mind being lumbered with an extra one!!

PiggeryPorcombe · 15/11/2018 18:13

Yes and she made out like Johnny was a useless father - which certainly hasn’t been the impression we’ve been given before is it? Aside from the current six-month job overseas which upset Emma but that’s hardly poor parenting IMO.

PiggeryPorcombe · 15/11/2018 18:15

Also can’t stop having a mental image of Gaskil in a grass skirt. You know, in Honolulu.

Gatehouse77 · 15/11/2018 19:46

Can anyone remember the name (letters) of the neurotoxin?

PiggeryPorcombe · 15/11/2018 20:47

MPTP.

Optimist1 · 15/11/2018 22:44

Makes People Terribly Poorly?

OP posts:
ChoccyJules · 15/11/2018 23:45

Yeah, I found it grating when Jac said Jonny was a useless father. Just so she could have a moment with Fletch.

MyOtherProfile · 16/11/2018 06:54

Finally seen it. Lots going on there. My th started a conversation with me at the crucial moment and I missed what happened to Gaskill. Did we actually see him swim away?

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 16/11/2018 06:59

One minute he was up to his shoulders in water (in the lake), next thing HH recovered from a 'delirious' moment and Gaskill had gone. We are supposed to think that he slipped under the water and drowned. However, I'm pretty sure he won't have done, but will resurface (quite literally) at some point...
