There was also a brand near her hip, the same one as GasKill had in the flashback. Wasn't there some mention of people traffickers? When HH saw the brand & said "Oh John" I thought he'd realised that Lana was someone that had been trafficked by the same group that branded GasKill. Maybe she's the daughter of someone who helped him escape & he feels guilty that the mum stayed trapped & had a baby who was also branded so feels obliged to try to save Lana the way her mum saved him.

The site of the implant wound was on Lana’s back, the marks on her front looked like branding to me.

They are both the same brand marks. Yes I paused and screen shotted iPlayer. Again.

Just watched this week’s episode and loved it. Jac was fantastic in it.

Just a quick question: how did Gaskill know Lana’s dressing had been changed? I think I must have missed something as I saw him walk up to her bed and then start questioning the nurse about dressing changes?!

Do we still think Guy Self is going to make a comeback?

I also found the height difference between Meena and Xav quite alarming.

I don’t like HH being all friendly and kind and soft etc I want him to return to his normal aloof sense and wake up to what John is doing!!

I wonder if Gaskill will find a way to murder jac during the operation to ensure she doesn’t blab? Maybe he will make her be ‘locked in’ too. I hope Jac demands that another surgeon also attend the operation to keep an eye on things....

I worry about HH though. He's so vulnerable underneath his controlled exterior. And I do love him.

Yes Lana's mother was older than GasK, she risked everything to get him to the people who could make him safe. No suggestion that she got out too.

So yes logically she got pregnant in there, baby was branded too and then some how thry escaped later on. GasK has reserved his only shred of selfless compassion for the woman who saved him and her child.

LOCHNESS Henrik's son did he, he was a bad 'un. He also killed Raf.
Jac had lots of scar tissue from the knife(?) and could barely walk or operate, so GasK fitted his evil beoconduit of doom into her. She can now walk and it's resolved the pain but they're like little ticking time bombs and destiny

Why have they introduced this branding thing now? surely Lana can just be a relative of Gaskill as we probably all thought in the first place.

I don't get why so many people want Jac and Fletch together, it will only end in disaster, this is Holby. The sooner they shag, the sooner it goes tits up and we get another ridiculously drawn out saga over with.

They mentioned Abi leaving as well. No one seems to care about her disappearance. Maybe she was just bought in to give Fletch a seeing to and her work is done.

Yes I think Abi was just brought it for the Fletch storyline and so put another barrier to him and Jac.

The branding thing isn’t totally new, we saw the scar on Gaskil in the flashback to uni episode.

Interestingly Holby was a lot more popular in the olden days when it had more about patients and didn't have all these over the top story lines. I know I've said it before, but where do they go after the Gaskill/Jac things are finally resolved? what more horrific things can happen than Roxanna?
