What about CE and Jack and ROse , which way did that go?

Nymphadora · 11/06/2007 20:27

Though Jack is back on Sat so could be Jack and DT?

OrmIrian · 11/06/2007 20:34

No! Outrageous suggestion.

Paternal and platonic.

It was wasn't it? Please tell me it was?

edam · 11/06/2007 20:35

Is Sean Pertwee John's son? Always assumed it was just someone with the same name. Like that bloke off Dad's Army.

Aloha · 11/06/2007 20:39

He's definitely his son - I interviewed him once!
I had a huge crush on the Brigadier on Dr Who as a child

WideWebWitch · 11/06/2007 20:50

lol at this thread.
Who's Colin Baker? Do we mean Tom Baker or is it someone else before my time (shurely not)?

I actually think the dr (DT AND Christopher Ecclestone alike) needs a damn good seeing to. As does Captain Jack (yeah, yeah, I know)

Nymphadora · 11/06/2007 20:50

Yes Just read somewhere about SEan/Jon

NoBiggy · 11/06/2007 20:50

Edam, Bill Pertwee off Dad's Army is Jon Pertwee's cousin.

Blandmum · 11/06/2007 20:52

Nobiggy, I always wondered if they were related! Thank you for that factoid!

SueBaroo · 11/06/2007 21:08

WWW, Colin Baker is the one with the blonde curly hair and the ker-ray-zee coloured jacket. After Peter Davison and before good old Sylv.

Aloha. You may be alone with that one. Do you think it was his uniform that sparked your interest in clothes?!

So the Pertwees are all related. Vaguely recall Jon Pertwee saying his grandfather or someone had invented the surname... maybe they were immigrants, think a lot of that used to go on.

handlemecarefully · 11/06/2007 22:43

I feel that I have missed something. The implication of what? ( thickie dullard question from the person who is not getting it)...

The way I read the current Doctor - companion relationship for instance is of unrequited crush on her part?

Nymphadora · 11/06/2007 22:45

Was Jon Pertwee the Dr or Worzel Gummidge first? I only remember him as WG but maybe that was just repeats when I was a kid?

Aloha · 11/06/2007 22:46

I am sure the uniform had something to do with it, and his dizzyingly commanding nature

Aloha · 11/06/2007 22:47

Was appalled on seeing it recently to discover he had a moustache though!

edam · 11/06/2007 23:03

I bet early conditioning means secretly you love a good moustache.

Aloha · 11/06/2007 23:04

It is clearly a deeply buried preference...

I had totally forgotten it.

fillyjonk · 12/06/2007 07:59

oooh I LOVE the way pruni is repeatedly comeing up with excuses for her vast, worrying, dr who trivia knowlege

i think she DOES know who played the 11th cyberman from the left in the 14th show in which the doctor says "elephant". I think the DOES...

re rose/dr/jack, i'm voting lust with jack but true love with teh dr. not sure if they did get physical but were deffo in total love.

(don't recall any previous oones in great details - used to hide behind the sofa! lol )

BecauseImWorthIt · 12/06/2007 08:25

PMSL and out loud at Aitch - brilliant!

loadsamoney Dalek!

BecauseImWorthIt · 12/06/2007 08:26

Definitely true love with Rose. And DW still grieving for her.

(I sobbed my heart out watching that last episode - unlike anything else I've watched. Thought it was brilliant)

Nymphadora · 12/06/2007 20:01

Just watched an old one with SJ and TB and she is dressed all in white and talks about weddings and he points out he can live for hundreds of years. She remeinded me very muchof Martha at that point.

munz · 12/06/2007 20:03

biwi - totally agree I really wanted them to find away back to each toehr - or at least for him to tell her he loved her.
