New reality show on C4

Users are in individual apartments and can only communicate via messaging

I actually hope it will be a bit less devastating for Dan to find out Kate is Alex at the live final.

The final will no doubt feel completely surreal after being in isolation for 3 weeks and then by the time Dan’s had a chance to process it he’ll be surrounded by all his friends/ family on the outside and probably won’t really care who Kate was or wasn’t anymore. The Circle relationships will seem a lot less important once the players are back in the real world so I don’t think he’ll feel as upset as he would have if he’d found out during the game.

I keep thinking about how the ratings might work for the final. I wondered if it would have been better to rank the other players so it forces people to pick someone for 5 star, 4 star etc. But I think with only four players in the game, any rating process has a risk of a draw. I wonder how they will manage that.

I think dan will have mentally prepared himself for Kate/Alex to be a catfish. I think he will be disappointed but I don't think it will be a major shock as he's already had a seed planted for a while.

I hope Alex can talk to Dan alone first. For Dan's dignity at least. I'm worried Freddie will win just because he's voting everyone low and no one else is thinking that tactically. What are we going to watch next????? Nothing as good is on the horizon. I do love Gogglebox but once a week is a killer.

I do like Dan and don't want him to be traumatised! I think he will be embarrassed that he didn't realise early on but hope it's handled to give him some dignity.

I agree everything must feel very heightened when they're in the and it might seem less important with a bit of outside perspective

I wonder what order they will bring them out, or if there will be a raising of a curtain blind date style!

Forgot because it was so near the beginning but I thought it was is that Freddy didn't ask Sian why she blocked Scotty. He just assumed she was after the money, which is weird cause Scotty obviously wasn't her main competition or the most tactical choice. I wonder if we are back to Scotty being a 'man's man' Perhaps Freddy just hadn't considered how Scotty's treatment of Hannah and Sian seems to other women?

Everyone bar aiden seems to have doubts about Kate but no one seemed to think she was a guy and they have all been really shocked in the clips on the app.

I think dan thinks Kate is not the picture and is maybe older or not as pretty or something and that why he asked the catfish question last night he wants a valid reason to be annoyed at her that doesn't make him look bad/shallow I don't think he has any idea it's a bloke. And I don't think he will take it well.

They are shown clips of chats and that and basically see what we as viewers see and are filmed watching it there are some shorter clips of it on the circles Instagram page

I have only watched Harry and Scotty who new about Freddie but like I said both were shocked by Kate couldn't figure out who it was for ages

Well generally the reactions to Kate have been them all going who's that? Who's he? a few times and then they realise it's Kate and I'm pretty sure all have them have laughed and think he's brilliant! Hoping Dan will do the same 🙏🏻

I've voted for Kate/Alex, I think he's been very mindful in the way he has conducted himself during the game. I don't think the fact he's a catfish can be held against him any more than Freddie pretending to be straight, it's not like it's against any rules and the players are all aware that the whole point of the circle is that you don't actually know who's on the other side of the screen.

I also wonder if they'll have to allocate stars to the other players in order of who they want to win. I think tactical voting across the board might finally come into play now that the prize money is a genuine possibility - if so Sian might score surprisingly low rather than everyone effectively handing her the £50k on a plate.

My concern for Kate/Alex or Freddie winning is the message it sends out... that you need to pretend to be someone else to be popular? That's why I like Sian and Dan the most. Yes they have their flaws but they have been the most genuine throughout.

Really enjoyed The Circle, I'd be happy for any of the 4 to win now. If they all vote tactically say one star each it'll be a draw, or will there be another way to pick the winner?

I get your point but I don't think it sends out that message because the catfish are still acting very much within the confines of their own personalities. Freddie is still very much Freddie. Siobhan as Christopher and Mairead as a younger better looking version of herself were still very identifiable as the real them. Sian seems nice but has been pretty gullible and way too trusting - her winning could send the message that if you're true to yourself it'll all come good in the end whereas in reality she'd probably end up being heartbroken (Scotty), manipulated (Freddie) or catfished (Kate). Dan also seems nice but he's clearly had no qualms using the footballer chat up line to get women into bed and he's an estate agent so not sure how nice a guy he really is.

I do think Kate or Freddie winning would also send out an even stronger message of don't trust anyone! Having said all that I'd be happy if either Sian, Dan or Alex won.

I highly doubt it given how long the show Catfish has been on telly. But tbh I’m surprised they didn’t have someone being a more sinister catfish in there having seen how manipulative some people can be on other reality shows. I would have thought there was someone doing a full act and stirring the pot too. It was nice to see nicer catfish 😂

I agree that Alex/Kate is a nice catfish. I actually do think he should have gone in there as himself actually because he comes across as really sweet and likable. Not sure he would have got so far without the help of Dan though. I also think that if Harry had been there from the start he would have made it to the final. He has a really good perception of people and sussed out Freddie and Kate in no time at all! He came across really well. I would love Dan to win though. He is my absolute fav! The way he talks to Figi is just adorable and yes he’s a bit of a catfish mug so I think he deserves the money. It might soften the blow of finding out that Kate is in fact a bloke Grin Sian will gain a new gay best friend so she’s all good! Only a few hours left to wait....

I voted for Alex/Kate last night. I just think I prefer him as a person, even if he has been lying to some degree. To be honest, at least he seems to feel bad about the webs he's woven. Freddie, on the other hand, is often 'typing' something inoffensive and then immediately sniping about the person, which I don't like so much.

I'd like it best if Dan won the 50k and then Alex got the 25k from the public. Don't think it'll work out like that, but that's my ideal scenario.

I feel the same about Freddie @bluekarou but I must admit he has been by far the most entertaining and hilarious person in the circle. You can always rely on his depravity to lower the tone! Grin
Unfortunately I think Sian will win but I can live in hope that it will be Dan. If he doesn’t win the main prize I hope he wins something!

I reckon it was pitched as Catfish meets Big Brother. I've enjoyed this series cos it's new but I don't think I'd watch another series.
Alex reminds me of a young Rik Mayall.
