@Middersweekly, yeah. I don't know why his & Maireads age lies are worse than Alex cat fishing in my eyes but I really dislike it. 20 is very young for that age gap. I dated 10+yrs on me at 24, but 20 isn't far off really still being a child.

In my early 20s I briefly dated blokes with a 15 -18 year age gap and Freddie didn't think it was too much. I think he was weird giving his age. If you're going to pretend to be something you're not (like Freddie, kate and maread) then don't change your mind part way through. Decide on your game plan and stick to it. It is a game after all, not a dating site. Maread in her 50s is flirting with blokes in their 20s.

I don't know if it's just me but I was surprised so many of them didn't know what an equestrian was? And I grew up very poor! Not as if I was exposed to things like that but I would have thought everyone knew what that meant!

I find Mairead's flirting very cringey! It's too over the top, especially given her real age.

I was surprised nobody knew what equestrian meant too and I say that as someone who’s never been posh or horsey. I was also really surprised nobody but Harry could name the planets in order. I thought that was relatively common knowledge and I remember having the mnemonic drummed into me at school, although to be fair the version I remember best is ‘My Very Excited Mother Just Saw Uncle Nigel’s Penis (A bit outdated now as Pluto is gone) which I don’t think was the version the teachers taught but one we changed to a ruder version.

I think the teachers at my school stuck with 'my very eager mother just showed us nine planets!' But yours works too 😂 god knows what they are teaching now Pluto's gone.

Glad Ryan has gone. Psychic? Not on your nelly, as (vastly irritating but very watchable) Freddy pointed out succinctly when Ryan visited him after he was blocked. "But I have bookings a year in advance!" he cried plaintively. No, he is a shit physic and now everybody knows it.

Alex/Kate I actually like despite him being a catfish. I think he has regretted not being himself though because he has realised how it will undoubtedly affect his friend Dan when he finds out the truth. I wonder if their potential friendship will survive after the show?

Miraid, hmm, she is a very similar age to me and we have a lot in common but I find her uncomfortable to watch really. Perhaps it is easier to exploit someone by lying and deceiving if you do not actually see them or talk with them? I am glad that Dan is a bit wary of her because of the way she was so "full on" during their 'date night'. He needs to keep sharp though, try not to let his dick rule his good sense.

I will watch tonight's Circle tomorrow morning early so I can chat to colleagues at work, those that have caught up that is.

Eugh. This episode is boring me a bit so far. Not liking Precious much so far and don’t get why everybody in there is just seeing this as a dating show.

Whoever gets to be influencers next, and if it isn't Sian, should TOTALLY block her. She is the biggest threat to all of them! I could totally see Freddie doing just that! They need to stop seeing it as a bloomin datiing show and get tactical.

I though Sism was being hypocritical saying girls don't look better with make up when she is usually coated in it. Freddie didn't understand Kate's difference between whether Kate thought having a wee in the shower was OK and whether or not Kate ever did it, but he's stupid. Kate moans about the girls just talking about boys but the boys are just as bad apart from private chats re cooking etc. don't get why more don't form friendships rather than flirting as the friendships seem more durable and reliable

There are clearly more chats going on that we’re not seeing but they’re not interesting enough for the telly and I’m guessing the producers think we want to see anything even vaguely romantic.

I can see it from a tactical point of view you have one person to give you 5 stars but it does seem to close you off to others.

Yeah it's getting ridiculous now it's not a dating show! I don't get why they are all so quick to trust the whole point of the game is to lie and deceive each other! Apart from Dan and Kate I think that's sweet

Maraied was too much she came across creepy and aggressive! Plus all that chat about seeing her pictures nah to much right decision was made!

Going to be hard to call who goes next I think there is a limit to how long the can have influencers surely at some point they just won't be able to decide!

But yeah if there are influencers tactfully they should go for Sian or Dan whoever isn't one.

I was hooked on this from day one. So happy it's a daily show. I couldn't go a whole week waiting. I really hope Dan can forgive Alex for catfishing. I'm just not sure when he should tell him the truth.

Did anyone catch the dark look on Dans face right at the end? I don’t think he’s a happy bunny! I think he’s too nice to be downright nasty to Mairead but I don’t think he’s happy either. I’m curious to see whether he admits to the others how old Mairead is because I imagine he’ll be feeling embarrassed about it.

Me and my adult DD watched it together and we were saying, imagine that was a 60 year old man trying to talk dirty with a young woman! I don’t think it would go down well.

The whole dating aspect is a bit much. When Precious said she wasn’t wearing underwear both me and my DD said eww. I’d be happier not to be watching that kind of “flirting”. I really hope the Circle doesn’t go the way of big brother and in subsequent series fills it with Scotty & Precious types as that would really put me off.

I think Dan genuinely believes in Kate- and if they emphasise the age deceit it will hide the gender. I'm quite fascinated in the why/how they lie. Alex & Sinead were quite benign, Jennifer lied for a reason & to prove a point, Genelle simply omitted a detail, Mairead & Scotty seem a bit sad and Freddie is just lying to get what he wants. His lies snowball!

I can see what you mean Rebecca, it's always up to the person but it seemed a big gap she'd been deceived by. Lol at "Harry isn't a liar" though!!! Generally Sian seems quite savvy though. She busted Precious!!

Poor Dan, hope he's not too gutted about being lied to. She was very ott with him though, even he was getting suspicious.

Me and my DD have theorised that Scotty still lives at home with his mum! How else would a 36 year old man (who seems to be perpetually single) not be able to cook basics like sausages and eggs!

I think it's he dan Kate meet will be interesting in one way Alex/kate hasn't tried to lead dan on in the way Mairead did so he might think about that but i think given he is 100% convinced by Kate and has gone to bat for her several times his male pride his going to be hurt! I think he will put an friendly face on it but he is going to be fuming!
