Mad men is it worth pursuing?

I'm on episode 7 and although it's watchable it's not gripping me and everyone says how amazing it is.
I don't like hardly any of the characters and I'm wondering does it improve or is it just not for me?

Whaaaat?!!! Shock

I loved mad men! It's not action packed, it's all about the characters and their flaws. I've binge watched all of them again a couple of months ago!

Suppose it's individual tastes... I really couldn't get into leaky blinders and gave up after 3, same with breaking bad.

**peaky blinders.... leaky blinders would be something very different I'm sure!! GrinGrinGrin

I’m watching it for the fourth time, I’m adore it- especially Pete! But I agree it is slow at first. I much prefer later seasons in the the Time Life Building (hope that isn’t a spoiler)

I loved all of them (except Don - but he’s an interesting character!). Roger, Joan and Peggy were my favourites (and also Betty in an odd way!). It just gets better and better imo - but maybe it’s not for you?

Maybe I'll give it another go Pawnee, thanks

Definitely stay with it. I think season one is a little uneven because the characters take a long time to properly be fleshed out. Once you learn about Don’s past properly, and characters such as Pete and Betty get a bit more three dimensional, then it becomes a much more complex and interesting show.

That picnic scene stuck with me too, shocking, but not at the time.
