Couldn't see a thread on this already so just posted to say it is back on Tuesday 28th August.

Aw, yay Rahul! Love him. Such a sweetie. Hated Karen from week 1. Would love to see her gone. Getting sick of Ruby too. She's very over confident. Poor old Rahul is very UNDER confident.

I found them all a bit irritating this week. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood but Rahul and his 'oh I'm so terrible sorry sorry for breathing' was annoying. Kim Joy and her same old Japanese cat thing was annoy g. If whatsername with her mlionth Bakewell got told off, KJ should be told to knock the Japanese on the head too. She used pandan again this week.
I'm Indian descent and Ruby's comment was exactly what I would have thought! If I'd been on with my Asian friends we'd have said the same to each other too. I bet they all thought 'bloody hell everyone is going to expect us to knock this out of the park'. Ruby was irritating too though but that goes without saying!

So sad Anthony has gone, I thought he was lovely.
Shame Terry's showstopper let him down, I was beginning to wonder if he could pull off star baker.

I feel sorry for Kim because she obviously admires the 'Harry Potter glasses' look which enlarge her eyes and the make up people ,or her, forget to blend the make up on her nose with her cheeks. I quite like her personality but find her difficult to understand.

Manon is beautiful (notice her hair is tied up ), but I can't understand her accent very well. She meant that you can't find good french bread in London very easily, which is true, but also true in France!! ( I live in Fr. for 6 months of the year).

I don't think Rahul's modesty is fake even though it's too much. He is an amazing baker!

Such a shame Anthony has gone. He was the only contestant I had really warmed to. Rahul is a sweetie. He reminds me of a Big Bang character with his geekiness and low confidence. Kim Joy is a bit irritating but nothing compared to cocky sounding Grumpy woman. Ruby is growing on me. She seems quite funny.

Part of me thinks you would have to be an amazing actor to pretend to be as insecure as Rahul is, but then on the other hand, if you really didn't think you were good at baking, would you enter a baking contest just a few years after moving away from your family to a completely different country just a few years before? I think I'm an OK baker, but in no way am I good enough all round to even bother applying to Bakeoff.

Rahul is so sweet and lovely plus a fab baker so I want to adopt him.

I adore Kim-Joy, she's a crazy cat lady like me. I'd live to sit for tea and cake with her.

Cats are considered good luck in Japan. Not worshipped as such, more revered. Think they eat them in Korea. So not so much worshiping, more consuming.
