Nothing like eating charred bread

That was a bit stressful. And all this "bread" tonight looked suspiciously cake-ish 😡

mind you -if you put an egg wash on, it does go pretty brown to be fair . I do panetonne , and it goes a bit that way on the top, but not around the sides

Hereafter known more accurately as dough week. Or 'Doh!' week.....😀

When Paul Hollywood did that bread series a few years ago, everything he baked looked burnt.

I agree @MrsGrindah. I’m a bit fed up with gingerbread constructions and the like. On the other hand it does give the producers the high drama they’re after as these edifices collapse in the heat (not unlike the bakers!)
