Love this programme but I really wish the guy with the beard would wear a chef's jacket...nothing more off putting to see a soaking wet, sweaty t shirt in the kitchen 🤮

The drivers who deliver the blood are volunteers.

Figuregettingbigger · 24/08/2018 13:44

Is GBM repeated anytime? Forever missing it because 7.30 is bedtime in this house..

BertrandRussell · 24/08/2018 13:47

Watch it on IPlayer!

Figuregettingbigger · 24/08/2018 13:50

I can't! Its not available in Ireland!

BertrandRussell · 24/08/2018 13:52

Sorry!Blush

Floralnomad · 24/08/2018 15:20

Fair enough about the blood drivers then , still finding the rest of it grating .

Watto1 · 24/08/2018 15:24

It's repeated on Sunday morning at 11:30 on BBC 2.

Figuregettingbigger · 24/08/2018 19:44

Oh thanks Watto. Thats perfect.

Idontknowhowtohelpher · 30/08/2018 22:12

Got annoyed tonight when Ross Bryans described Lorna McNee as being "teacher's pet" in previous rounds. How patronising is that!

Agentornika · 31/08/2018 05:15

The only dish banquet worthy was Ross's fish course, the judges weren't super enthusiastic about any of the others

Watto1 · 07/09/2018 20:05

Any Welsh mumsnetters here? Does anyone know when they are showing today's episode in Wales? We've got rugby on instead! Normally, as a good Welsh girl, I'm delighted to see rugby on the telly but not when they shove Great British Menu aside for it Sad

Disfordarkchocolate · 10/09/2018 19:40

Not enjoying this series. Too many new chefs and some very dull looking food. I've hardly seen anything I'd like to see at a banquet.

Hazlulu · 21/09/2018 23:43

I'm really miffed about the result today. Dull, dull, dull.

LostInShoebiz · 23/09/2018 13:03

Remember the year Michael served up the black fish and chips. Golden days.

Davros · 23/09/2018 15:19

I'm hardly watching any more and, if I do, Friday episodes only. I am a bit sick of hearing about the "heroes" working in the NHS to be honest. I don't want to be mealy mouthed but seriously?!

LostInShoebiz · 23/09/2018 16:00

There’s been a massive debate in our house about nurses co to ually being referred to as angels. One DSS made the very grown up point that it makes them sound less professional and probably doesn’t help their cause when it comes to pay disputes because their job is seen as a vocation (I’m paraphrasing). No one calls surgeons “angels” and I bet they get treated a hell of a lot better in terms of pay and conditions.
