I was watching it only yesterday (the one where he's actually trying to be good) and felt exactly the same. I had to explain to my sons that because he's normally horrid, his parents always expect him to be horrid.

I hate the horrid henry books, for this reason, plus just too much dialogue. Surely Perfect Peter is much more of a pain in the arse, the 2 faced, scummy brown noser

I have to agree, they're crap parents.
Even my two ds's have noticed this.
Obviously a stark contrast to the positive parenting my boys enjoy 24/7.
