I was looking forward to DD going in the villa thinking he would kiss jack and be lovely and emotional. But actually I’m glad he didn’t go in after the cringe fest he and his Mrs served up tonight. How Dani has remained so nice and grounded I do not know

I don’t understand why everyone thinks Danny Dyer and Mick Carter are just the same. Mick is lovely. Danny is not, if the stories from his colleagues are even half true.

I thought Alex might come across better on Aftersun as they often do (e.g. Ellie) but I guess that’s because they usually have a week to gather their thoughts, read the public opinion and probably get coached on what to say. Felt a bit sorry for Alex and his very HOT grilling (RoseWhiteTips) and thought he looked like rabbit caught in headlights most of the time. Alexandra came across lovely like she always does and she will have a lot of fun out of tnf villa I’m sure.

I get the not having female friends. It's so hard as you get older.
If you got bullied or were shy in school or college it's hard to maintain or make new friendships more than co workers or aquitances.

To be fair, I would be proud. Especially with the way some of them have conducted themselves.

It's not like I would feel they achieved something great. But take Alexandra, I would be proud of how she conducted herself when Alex rejected her again. Dani and Jack have been great, but strong and not taken shit. Or how Laura1 has remained supportive of girls who she could have told to fuck off.

Besides I am sure most people, say stuff to their kids that isn't entirely accurate, but what their kids need to hear.

I totally agree with this. They were probably shit scared he'd get pissed and act an even bigger asshole than he is normally. And as someone else said, he probably demanded a big fee. The man's a liability.

It's also possible it was edited to make it look like it took long. A couple of seconds of silence is all it takes.

I really hope this wasn’t the case, edited maybe, but not this. I’m not a fan of Megan, but it’s quite clear she has self esteem issues. To put her in a position like that would be utterly disgraceful.

Re DD, I’m not sure he’d put a large fee before his daughter. I’m hoping that, he himself, thought that his being there, would be overwhelming for the other family, but I’m not sure he has the intelligence for that to cross his mind

The ‘proud’ issue. I wouldn’t have been proud from the get go. Proud that my son or daughter, would put themselves in a position where they are waiting to be ‘picked’ for the way they lookpossibly to be proud of their compassion and empathy, when dealing with situations, but pretty much no. I think it’s something the parents are primed to say.

I'm still not buying the Meghan's shy stuff. Being a stripper and her insta account shows someone who's not shy, you couldn't take all your clothes off in front of an audience if you were.

Don’t the parents have to play the game though, in order to ensure their children win the 50k. Hence why they are generally positive about the relationships & proud?
