I am to admit that i am really enjoying springwatch! The boys watched it last year on cbeebies but i drew the line at the "adult" one thinking it would be full of twitchers, Its really good! Am rivetted

We are addicted here too. Love the adult programme but have to admit I am rather partial to the song at the end of the cbeebies programme .

MerlinsBeard · 30/05/2007 20:32

so is it back on cbeebies then?
We don't really watch much telly - its not worth the hassle when they want to watch different things lol!

What tome is it on on there then?

i watched a couple of badgers having a go at each other last night. and a baby owl nodding off at 2 in the morning. gripping stuff.

actually last night my friend and i had our own nocturnal springwatch. we saw a whole field of rabbits and ducks with their babies in st albans park it was soooo sweet.

though we also saw a dead duck in the water feet up and it's mate trying to get it's attention.

i am a sucker for animals.

MerlinsBeard · 30/05/2007 20:39

oh god its happened again with the buzzards!

Animals are so disgusting

southeastastra> sorry for small hijack!
i LOVE st albans park! we lived very near there when i first moved to england in 2003!

southeastastra · 30/05/2007 21:18

it's a lovely park, at sunset it's beautiful.

we've always gone there for years. whereabouts are you from in america?

americantrish · 30/05/2007 21:20

i'm from pennsylvania, but lived in maryland for years before moving over here 4 years ago... dh had a lovely flat off prospect road!

i often miss the park, the ducks and the market there!

southeastastra · 30/05/2007 21:23

that sounds like the perfect place to live!

i love st albans, i live a few miles away.

we also did the st albans ghost walk which was fun.

americantrish · 30/05/2007 21:28

we never did the ghost walk (unless its relatively new!) we only moved away when i was expecting as the flat wasnt big enough.. been ages since we visited though... i loved being walking distance to the park and town (although that hill was horrible when i was really pregnant!)

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 30/05/2007 21:54

We like it too.

But why so late in the year? It's nearly June - not Spring at all.

southeastastra · 30/05/2007 22:08

well it ain't summer!

southeastastra · 30/05/2007 22:24

st albans park is haunted by roman soldiers

Rhubarb · 30/05/2007 22:29

Yup, I've seen 'em! Claudius and GayLordios are the main ones.
