I don't think he's being unkind exactly. He doesn't quite know how to deal with it. She was being quite full-on then, and he's said a number of times how he doesn't like pressure and wants to take things slowly. As I said I think the pressure from everyone else to be with her is why he's not spoke up sooner.

I think I'm there, everything is so much more intense and pressurised than it would be in real life and Alex is way out of his depth. He doesn't know how to handle things in the right way.

I just don't think Paul is into Laura AT ALL :(

I can't decide if paul is just incredibly dry and that's why he comes off as cold or whether he's just not into her. I hope the former, Laura is a darling, for all her crazy tendencies.

Laura and Paul's conversation was so boring. Laura is forcing it and Paul is just along for the ride. No way he's into her.
