Oh dear lord! Hearing Alex describing the c-section...that rather put me off my supper! Total respect to all of you who’ve had one.

Seriously, him and Laura1 would have been great fake parents together.

Great caesarean description there, accurate without being gruesome.

I’m guessing Alex has had to do a rotation in the delivery ward?

Alex doesn't have a specialism yet, he'll be doing a bit of everything for a few months at a time

Laura he isn't running for the hills because it's too late now. I'm not convinced Paul is in to her.

I think Alex has done Obs and Gynae before A and E. But tbh any doctor will have assisted on lots of C-sections so would have a good idea,

Love Dr Alex describing birth and the rest of the guys reactions! Kudos to him for describing it accurately, respectfully, and as a miracle, as that's what it is! As an A+E doctor I suppose he's had to do a few emergency deliveries...

If Alex doesn't have a specialism then why is he being described as an A&E dr?

Even in antenatal class they don’t go into that detail. I really had no idea. I was terrified of needing one and that makes me even more glad I didn’t need it with both of mine! Huge respect to those of you who have had one

He's described as an A and E doctor because that's what he was doing before Love Island.

I had a CS and never knew it was like that. Glad I didn't tbh, was scared enough!

Tbh I would imagine that an equally graphic description of performing an episiotomy or repairing a third degree vaginal tear would make me equally queesy!

I've had one and literally thought it was a one cut across, didn't know it involved tearing and different layers before you even get to the baby. Found that quite interesting!

Have to say (given that they aren't real babies) that pushchair race was hilarious

Oh I laughed so much when Alex spilled the baby from the buggy

So... one’s thrown their baby out of their pushchair and another has pulled their baby’s arm off. This is all going well! I hope they’re going to have a night with a newborn! That’s enough to test the most solid couple!
