I'm late to the party and I'm hooked Blush

I love Laura and Jack2 and hope they both do well but I am hoping Laura gives Alex some time as I think they're ideally suited.

Georgia has never been told no in her life and is the most machiavellian character in there. Hopefully this experience will allow her to see that manipulating people to your advantage does not bring you joy, as I don't think she'll be liked by the public when she comes out.

I like Megan! She is so self aware and quite reflective. I really hope she sticks with Wes now.

PrincessScarlett · 09/07/2018 08:18

I don't think Adam's love for Zara is real. They are just trying to make a career out of being Dom and Jess from last year. When they came out last year they were advertising everything, had exercise DVDs and were all over TV, magazines and social media.

NeverTalksToStrangers · 09/07/2018 08:26

I really felt for Laura last night. I dumped my dh, out of the blue (and when he had done nothing wrong), 6 months into our relationship and then regretted it the next day and begged him to take me back. I felt like such a dick and was so relieved when he said he would.

I don't think they are a terribly mismatched couple. She was the best version of herself when she was with him. She's my favourite. I never watch it live though, so no voting for me. Sad

Bizarretortoise · 09/07/2018 08:32

PutYourBackIntoIt my DH thinks Alex and Laura will end up coupling up. When you see them talking together, they clearly have a good relationship. Whether it could become romantic, who knows, but if she wants a nice stable guy in there, maybe it would come. Not convinced, but DH is pretty good at reading people.
Big fan of Georgia’s up to this. Agree with those who say she genuinely believes she was right. She did seem a bit squiffy on the date, so maybe it’s a bit hazy. Neither Georgia or Jack told the complete truth about it, from an external perspective, but I guess that’s true of most things. His version, her version and the truth.
Georgia and Ellie both need to grow up. Ellie is right about G spouting off about loyalty, but has gone about it in the wrong way. Both are coming across as childish and self-centred. Why does Laura need Ellie to speak for her? She doesn’t and she didn’t ask her to. Ellie sticking her beak in, and screaming the c word - and then continuing to screech yesterday - does not help Laura and all. It actually deflects from Laura and makes it about Ellie instead.

Bluntness100 · 09/07/2018 08:35

I'm shocked at some of the abuse being levelled at georgia on here, it's not ok, this is a tv program, we see edited clips, and it was no more than a peck, that she could have misunderstood to be mutual.

Ellie has done Laura no favours. She's escalated something totally minor into something that literally ended their relationship. It should have been "yeah, if it happened it was a peck, she didn't recouple with him when she had the chance, no biggie".

All the hysteria Ellie has caused escalating this to such disproportionate levels because she dislikes Georgia, is what's led to Laura and all these issues.

Laura should be grown up enough to manage it though, and to calm it down, she openly admitted Ellie's behaviour wasn't about her, but she's not mature enough, so she's equally to blame in the hysteria stakes.

I can't blame jack for staying away from it after witnessing the abuse and bullying Georgia is getting over something so minor. And yeah he started it.

SmileSweetly · 09/07/2018 08:39

People forget that Georgia had to take someone on a date, and everyone was in a couple.

It was inevitable she was going to piss someone off, it didn't need to be more than a minor annoyance and yet Laura's insecurities and erratic behaviour has turned it into a circus.

I feel so sorry for G having all the girls turn on her like that, it's really unkind and I hope she's getting some support in there.

She didn't behave well on the date (but she'd had a very emotional 2 days and was feeling rejected and humiliated) had a bit of prosecco in her and misjudged all jack's compliments and flirting. It was a silly mistake, but she definitely doesn't deserve to be ostracised by the girls, some very bitchy and mean girl behaviour from girls who said they were her friends.

Ellie has shown how vile she is, she's treated Sam & Alex terribly. Not to mention the nasty argument she had with Rosie, when Rosie caught her bad mouthing all the other girls (was not aired). And now using 'sticking up for Laura' as an excuse to turn on Georgia.

Jack2 made the right decision I think he's dodged a bullet there, poor Laura is an emotional wreck and sabotages every relationship and even friendships due to lack of trust, she's definitely not tough enough for LI.

I'd love to see two random people leave tonight, so that the couples are shaken up again, and maybe a new person come in...the girls need to be in charge a bit, they've been vulnerable from the start and has made them insecure, jealous of each other and they're turning in each other instead of supporting one another.....while the boys are having a ball, and a very easy ride so far.

I'd like to see the girls in a position if power and see the boys working for it a bit.

MissDollyMix · 09/07/2018 08:42

Georgia has been taken to task by one other girl in the villa. I don’t call that abuse or bullying. Didn’t stop her taking the p out of Jack 2 last night which I thought was much more bullying behaviour.

Bluntness100 · 09/07/2018 08:45

I'd also say I felt sorry for Laura last night, last time she was dumped Georgia was right on her tail to comfort her, of course she couldn't do that last night, but Ellie just stayed sat with Charlie and didn't go help her.

I also think it's moved to bullying Georgia on there. I'd understand if Laura and jack had been together like wes and her, and she'd done a Megan, but what happened was so insignificant, she was told to pick someone on a date, and yes the prosecco bottle was nearly empty and she could have misunderstood and thought the peck was mutual but she's done nothing to deserve the sheer venom she's getting from Ellie and to a lesser extent Laura. It really is bullying and disproportionate. I'm surprised there has not been complaints to ofcom about Ellie's behaviour to some of the other contestants.

PodgeBod · 09/07/2018 08:47

I think Ellie realises her couple is a bit boring and won't be getting her much screen time, I'd bet that is a factor in her getting herself involved.

PodgeBod · 09/07/2018 08:51

I would describe Georgia more as a bully then bullied! Like mispronouncing Kaz's name when she had just arrived, singing songs to mock people, telling people to shut the fuck up.

Bluntness100 · 09/07/2018 08:54

I'm not sure that it's about extra screen time, it could be. Laura stated it wasn't about the kiss, something else was driving Ellie's behaviour towards Georgia, but she went polite and just said some other things had annoyed her.

She has got a vile temper though, as we saw when Sam pied her and she responded with calling him a fucking prick.

unique1986 · 09/07/2018 09:17

It was quite telling when Ellie said she was just gonna focus on Charlie now..
She's so not into him.

MissDollyMix · 09/07/2018 09:25

I think we missed some crucial discussion when Ellie and Georgia were arguing last night. Why was Ellie in tears? What had Georgia said to her? All very mysterious

unique1986 · 09/07/2018 09:32

The Ellie said she lost her voice...

ElspethFlashman · 09/07/2018 09:33

I think yeah Georgia had to bring someone. But Ellie had a point in that she didn't have to kiss him.

Jack sat there and said he wanted to try with Laura. A peck on the cheek would have been appropriate after that.

She just doesn't seem to recognise that regardless of who initiated it or what, Laura has a right to be annoyed she kissed him on the lips at all. At no point has G said she shouldn't have done that.

Moonkissedlegs · 09/07/2018 09:33

Bluntness I feel like you are watching a different show to me!

What about 'dry your eyes mate'? Georgia is nasty!

I imagine she is probably also struggling with the fact that Josh and Kaz are a much much better couple than her and Josh were, and he is really happy. But that still doesn't excuse her behaviour.

MissDollyMix · 09/07/2018 09:38

I really don't like Josh and Kaz. They are smug and boring and I wish they'd get booted off but I agree with everyone else that they have a lot more chemistry than Josh and Georgia. I don't even remember J & G kissing or being intimate (might have happened, I genuinely have a terrible memory!)
Do we think we'll find out who's going tonight or do we think they'll string it out until wednesday? not sure I can take the waiting

MissDollyMix · 09/07/2018 09:41

also, whilst I'm speculating, do we think this is it for adding any new contestants?

ElspethFlashman · 09/07/2018 09:42

Yeah Kaz is quite dull. Josh does have plenty of personality and I don't mind him so much. Have yet to see much evidence of personality from Kaz. All she does is kiss him?

But maybe it's the editing - maybe she's scintillating off camera. Grin

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 09/07/2018 09:43

Blimey these move fast!

Bizarretortoise · 09/07/2018 09:50

Elspeth Laura absolutely has a right to be annoyed, but that’s exactly why Ellie hasn’t helped at all, and made it about her. I’d forgotten about how she spoke to Sam and how she treated Alex.

OutofTyme · 09/07/2018 09:55

I think there will be more new people yet.

TatianaLarina · 09/07/2018 09:56

No I think Ellie opened up the way for Laura to admit that she was really hurt by what G did.

Laura had tried to brush it under the carpet - or rather G bullied her into doing so. G was determined to get Laura to believe her over Jack. Eventually she was honest, but I don’t think she would have been without Ellie’s support. (Not to say Ellie doesn’t have her own issue with G - many people do at this point).

G totally fucked Laura’s coupling with Jack from trying to kiss him, to convincing Laura it was Jack not she who lied.

unique1986 · 09/07/2018 10:01

I don't think it's fair that the islanders choose who go.

Darlin · 09/07/2018 10:02

I think everybody here understands that Georgia had to pick somebody, that's not the issue. The fact that she lied about the reason why she picked Jack2 is. She said to Laura before the date she doesn't fancy him when she clearly did.

If it wasn't about fancying then she could have just as easily picked someone else who she didn't fancy, like Alex or Adam. Not Laura's guy since Laura was supposedly her friend and had already been through stuff.
