I don't know if Raahh is around to start a new thread and I couldn't post on the last one because it's full! Hope you all find this!

Raahh did you see the interview with Goran yesterday about the match? He said he is sick of hearing "it's coming home" and at the end of the game he wants to be "standing there laughing" at all the England fans after a Croatia victory!! He just doesn't care does he?!

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 11/07/2018 15:11

Like I said
I love Goran Grin

JaneJeffer · 11/07/2018 15:12

I've switched over to Fed now. He had match point on Anderson's serve but it's 5-5 now.

i liked Rafter too, but I was chuffed to bits for Goran.

PrivateParkin · 11/07/2018 15:13

hobnobs yes mine too. That atmosphere was amazing. Against anyone else I would have wanted Pat to win, what a fantastic grass court player he was. But Goran was my all time favourite.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 11/07/2018 15:14

I may have actually shed a tear when Goran won the match
I blame the hormones Wink

Raahh · 11/07/2018 15:14

private sounds very Goran! I'm sick of the song too. was the name of life first time around.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 11/07/2018 15:14

Gooo Nishikori

whatnextfred · 11/07/2018 15:14

Nishikori just broke! 😁

PrivateParkin · 11/07/2018 15:15

Wow break for Nishikori - he looked down and out a minute ago. Tennis is mad.

bookbook · 11/07/2018 15:15

he's making a few unforced errors though, is Roger, in between the lovely shots.
Hope you are coping okay Jane -( read about the IBS upthread) - horrible condition

JaneJeffer · 11/07/2018 15:15

It's a pity Rafter never won Wimbledon. It was great when Goran won but nothing beats 2008 for me.

Hi book have you escaped from your allotment? Grin

I'm much better today thanks. Could do with a nap though as I feel a bit worn out but don't want to miss any tennis!

I fell in love with tennis the year Agassi had the long hair and won... 1992 maybe? Remember my mum putting the tv in the kitchen window so we could sit outside on the lawn and watch. Happy days Smile

bookbook · 11/07/2018 15:19

sorry . will have to disagree Jane - I watched McEnroe/Borg in 1980? - it was utterly amazing , never seen anything to match it since

JaneJeffer · 11/07/2018 15:19

Oh yeah Agassi was great.

whatnextfred · 11/07/2018 15:20

JaneJeffer · 11/07/2018 15:20

bookbook · 11/07/2018 15:21

what Grin
ah , I was a Borg fan - through it all I knew he would win eventually

bookbook · 11/07/2018 15:23

well, set to Anderson ....!

JaneJeffer · 11/07/2018 15:25

I was 11 at the time and I loved Mac. The British press loved to say he was Irish every time he had a strop! Nearest we'll get to a tennis champion so we claimed him Grin

JaneJeffer · 11/07/2018 15:26

what you are just a baby!

bookbook · 11/07/2018 15:27

I love Mac playing doubles , and when he wasn't playing Borg . He was a genius at touch play around the net. You just don't see much of that genius anymore .

JaneJeffer · 11/07/2018 15:28

Anderson did well to save that set.
