@coragreta I thought this but at recoupling technically all couples are undone as they get to choose again!

But but but Wes and Laura are still definitely a couple? They had to sit together with Flak to be saved by public vote and that was after their drama.

I hope this Wes/Laura thing becomes clear tonight, because from the first look, it looks like everyone's just conveniently forgotten that they are still officially coupled up in order to make it more dramatic.

Wes is still coupled with LAURA.

Hope Laura therefore gets the chance to recouple with Jack 2 and is able to say to Wes, “You can go now.”

So Wes surely has to pick someone from Casa mora to stay on the show. He can’t pick Megan as she’s in a main villa.

Like last year, both had to keep official partner or both chose someone new or else kicked off.

But on Aftersun first look, Flack says 'let's see if Wes has decided to stay single' and in he walks on his own?

But this assumes that they are staying single. They are not single. Wes is with Laura. It doesn't make sense. See if wes stays single. He does and what. Meg can couple or stay single. Wes can couple or stay single. It seems unrelated to me. It doesn't say couple with meg or a new girl. So confused.

And couldn't he say I was staying single for Georgia or something?

Ahh yes @zampa that's right. Seemed like a cop out, boring recoupling as no boy got sent home! I still think more new girls have been sent in than boys. Looks like the two villas have shake things up though.

So confused about the single Wes thing! Unless they've changed all the rules to confuse us!

Although Wes walks in on his own, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t picked a girl. Perhaps the next thing that happens is that Flack asks “So Wes did you stay single?” and then Wes could say no and a girl walks in. I hope he goes, but it seems like a massive spoiler to show us that he is single already....

He looks pissed off so I think he's stayed single rather than it being a. Obviously they've asked the boys separately beforehand so that nobody can change their mind so I would guess that they could have the others walk out single and then be asked to reconfirm it in front of the others.

But both ways round (i.e. returning single when not been waited for OR returning coupled when they have been waited for) the immediate impact gives better instant reactions and drama.

MY guess is that they can stick with current or pick new. MEaning that some CAN end up single. THEN those who were single to begin with i.e. Adam and Megan, IF they stayed single, get to pick someone to pair up with from the 'new singles'

so in this example Wes could risk returning to Laura who he knew would have recoupled and thus leave him single IF he felt sure that Megan would stay single and then pick him.

But staying single shouldn't be an option for him because he's coupled up with Laura. Megan was single to begin with, so she could stay single or couple up with a new boy. Wes should only have the option to stay with Laura (obviously not) or recouple with a new girl. They seem to have changed the rules for dramatic effect!

To be fair, it's probably been edited to make us all have this debate. And I guess they can change the rules as they see fit, just hope Wes doesn't get the option to stay single if nobody else does (apart from already singles Adam and Megan). It'll all become clear in a few hours.

I think the option for the boys is couple with a new girl or return to the villa without a new girl (ie stay single) and see if an original girl will/has chosen them. So for example, Jack choses to "stay single" as he doesn't choose a new girl and then Dani chooses him. But I could be way off the mark

Well yes. OF COURSE they have. that is literally the purpose of the production team.

And like I said Wes wasn't exactly given the option of remaining single. he could just return alone and see if anyone would have him. If they won't then I assume he goes home.

Frankly I still don't quite know how they're going to fit all these couples into the villa.

even if Both Wes and Georgia get the boot we'll still have 9 couples.

I thought there were only 8 beds.
