But I do hope one of the girls he likes does not pick him. I want to see what happens when he is needled.

🤯

I watched it again this morning with my son who was at work last night. Re watching it, Adam seemed less arrogant and more paralysed. I don’t think he has the emotional capabilities of dealing with a full on crying girl whose losing her shit.
Wes is twenty years old what do we expect? Laura has been pathetic all the way through. Desperate and needy and and cussed him like he’s her son. Sorry but I don’t really have much sympathy for the women losing their dignity and pride on national tv. Why should the boys get the blame for women who are emotionally immature ?

ffaith · 20/06/2018 18:24

Thanks may have missed that

mnahmnah · 20/06/2018 18:59

We need a hot, mature, decent guy to drop in now, who will show Adam up and knock him off his pedestal

Megsmcgoo · 20/06/2018 18:59

I’ve also read that Eyal is bisexual, he apparently had a boyfriend a few months ago

Megsmcgoo · 20/06/2018 19:01

Have I said after a few slow weeks I’m looking forward to tonight’s episode!

BalaBrith · 20/06/2018 19:09

Lurked on all three threads, checking in now to say how excited I am for tonights episode!

Moneyissue2 · 20/06/2018 19:13

Did anyone notice Rosie had her phone in her lap and it was lit up when she gave her speech to Adam.

Someone before said the show is scripted, I didn’t believe it but after seeing that and how spot on her speech was, I now believe it.

LARLARLAND · 20/06/2018 19:14

Women’s Aid have issued a statement commenting in Adam’s behaviour. They point out that he’s gaslighting Rosie. In all honesty I am starting to feel uncomfortable watching women being emotional abused for our entertainment. Well done to Women’s Aid for their intervention.

RideSallyRide76 · 20/06/2018 19:26

The problem being, genuinely hot, mature, decent guys are usually taken and not daft enough to want to appear on the show.

Bluntness100 · 20/06/2018 19:27

To be fair they have not said he is gaslighting Rosie, they have said he is displaying warning signs, then used it as a platform to describe emotional abuse and urge women to recognise it and not accept it.

Warning sign is it could or could not be, but they've used the platform as a way to get the issue to a wide audience.

Fair enough.

mnahmnah · 20/06/2018 19:31

RideSally

Jamie last year was great. Wish he came in sooner. I’d settle for another muggy mike to be honest, just to wipe the smirk off adam’s face!

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 20/06/2018 19:33

Eventually one couple wins, as voted by the public, they are the ones who get the most financial and media opportunity after the show.

Dani should surely have enough savvy to know, that people will vote for her if she and Jack continue to have a happy, positive time on the show

It wouldn't surprise me if that conversation has been had.

It occurred to me how little we see compared to what actually goes on.

We got two episodes of the same night once and we are at least 2 days behind by the looks of it, we basically get a tiny percentage of what actually happens and they clearly edit or even script storylines.

QueenOfMyWorld · 20/06/2018 19:54

Megan and eyal aren't getting any air time anymore so it's hard to see what chemistry they have if any

RainySeptember · 20/06/2018 19:54

They're being filmed 24/7 so I would've thought any juicy conversations about contestants' masterplans would've been broadcast.

The producers have said that it's definitely not scripted, and that they follow the stories that unfold naturally.

TheNavigator · 20/06/2018 20:01

This is the statement from Women's Aid:

"On the latest series of Love Island, there are clear warning signs in Adam’s behaviour. In a relationship, a partner questioning your memory of events, trivialising your thoughts or feelings, and turning things around to blame you can be part of pattern of gaslighting and emotional abuse.

"Last night, Rosie called out Adam's unacceptable behaviour on the show. We ask viewers to join her in recognising unhealthy behaviour in relationships and speaking out against all forms of domestic abuse – emotional as well as physical. It is only when we make a stand together against abuse in relationships that we will see attitudes change and an end to domestic abuse."

Good statement. Adam is free to tell Rosie he does not wish to be coupled with her any more. It is blaming her and then smirking at her distress that are the red flags.

BlancheM · 20/06/2018 20:06

I'm impressed with Women's Aid releasing that

AliasGrape · 20/06/2018 21:00

@LARLARLAND yes to the uncomfortable feeling, people have said this version is tamer and younger people are watching it and I think that’s the bit I’d be most worried about them seeing actually!

I’m still hooked but I just really want them to give the girls their turn to even things out a bit now, as I said before I really don’t feel they’ve been given many options so far, and there’s been 5 new girls to ‘stir things up’ and only 2 new boys, one of which got booted immediately. I hope when new boys come in the likes of Wes and Adam get to feel what it’s like to be insecure and have that belittled and smirked at! I really didn’t like Hayley but fair play to her for not pandering to their egos.

OnlyBaBaBiss · 20/06/2018 21:01

Wow I’m so impressed with Womens Aid!
I wonder what kind of affect being associated with that will have on Adams Instagram model/Teeth whitening/Protein shake/Boohoo modelling career when he gets out

wontonsoup · 20/06/2018 21:08

Really annoyed by Laura, so territorial and insecure at her age, tasing about the new girls and being passive aggressive with Wes!!! It is highly embarrassing and off putting.

wontonsoup · 20/06/2018 21:08

talking*

SavageBeauty73 · 20/06/2018 21:11

Laura is awful

I've been watching series 2 and I prefer it. It's funny. This is so boring. I might stop watching.

wontonsoup · 20/06/2018 21:12

Fucking hell I'm cringing hard at Laura, she's actually ridiculous

Moominfan · 20/06/2018 21:12

Onlybaba

Sadly I don't think it will, he'll become a pantomime bad guy and still make a career flogging crap
