anyone who shops at either may be interested in this programme.....

we watched 90% of this last night and i was disgusted :I it made me want to become a vegetarian again. (we dont eat beef anyway, but made me wonder about the chicken we do eat...)

Just get properly reared chicken from someone you trust, Americantrish - tastes better anyway

we are seriously considering that...or becoming veggies.. (dh was one in the past as well.) although ds eats chicken happily, so we'd still need too....

Not defending it, but everyone that works or has worked in a Supermarket knows this stuff goes on. Its nothing new.

Gross? Yep, definitely, but new? Nope.

Just watched this, having sky+ it the other day. Thought it was gross, but not surprised. I suspect that this, and much, much worse goes on in all supermarkets. Clicked on kathy's link to the other thread and read:
"I just felt it was sensationalist clap trap" said Figroll
Now, that comment REALLY DID surprise me. I think that figroll is ... naieve at the least. All supermarkets don't give a jot about our H&S. They are all driven by profits and that is all.
Do you really think that what was filmed was one offs ? Or that every other supermarket doesn't do the same. I don't.I think it is the norm. And that is really sad.
