Who is going to be watching it?

I like Kendall and would like to see her couple with a kinder lad who will take things at her pace. Unfortunately that's not really what love island is about is it?

I think in the older pictures Laura looks like that is her natural weight. She looks amazing and has a great figure but I'm wondering if she's lost a bit too much and that makes her look slightly gaunt and older.
I'm thin so no thin shaming. I just think we all have a weight we look best at and too weight loss can make us look older. Especially in the face.

She'd look better with a darker blonde hair too.

Danni, Jack, Kendall and Niall seem to be the good guys. Quite like Eyal too because, although he is a bit of a hippy, he is not as dense as some of the others.

I feel sorry for Alex but how on earth did he get through the elimination stages - unless they wanted him to stick out like a sore thumb? Which they did. I want to feel sorry for Samira but she really isn’t very pleasant.

Adam is an appalling individual - I really do hope he gets some sort of comeuppance. As others have said, his nature is what we are seeing now and it is soooo working against him. Hate that sort of look anyway.

And yes, editing is doing a good job, probably.

I actually think last years love island was the worst so far. There were better couples in series 1 and 2 and I think the people were more everyday, and more natural because the show hadn't got big yet

Isn’t it amazing that a lot of the contestants have a reality past, Dani, Adam, glamour model pics of Laura. They must all do the rounds until they get something. Is there some sort of website where all these shows recruit from?

I remember reading last year that all the contestants have to have a social media platform before they even audition and then they spend a couple of months being preened and exercised to within an inch of their lives so its hardly your average person on the street and everything is very orchestrated from the start.

OK, fair enough. But the first couple of years felt more like they were. It also seemed like less people had a celebrity connection

I was surprised on the "how long have you been single" question. I'm also watching Season 2 so some of the times might be from there, but "oh I've been single 3 months" - surely they had to apply to be on the show before that?!

Just heard that a girl from my town who's a bit of a local celebrity is on standby to go into the villa. Without judging her too much, she's very much the Love Island type. She's in Majorca now. Allegedly of course. Her social media, which is open to all and sundry, insinuates she's about to do something life changing so watch this space.

I always find it interesting how they all seem vapid and pretty on day one - almost like they are all trying to be who they think people want them to be.
But after a day or two, their real characters start to show - eg Kendall is so much more insecure and fragile than she seemed at the start; Hayley is so much more mouthy, Wes is already so much better and smarter than just a pretty boy, etc etc. I genuinely find these programmes really interesting, even tho theyre very low-brow.

Poor Alex sticks out like a sore thumb. Just the way he speaks sets him apart from the others. He's the kind of boy your mum and nan would say makes a nice boyfriend.

Kendall is just an irritating drip. It really sure why she has gone on love island.

Laura wasn't overly keen on Wes until she thought he had some cash.

Danni is sweet but I cannot stand the way she speaks. It's just so awful.

I think jack is the best boy by far apart from the teeth!!!

I sell water bottles with the Love Island font - I'm surprised the ones they use this year are identical to last year, usually programmes mix things up a bit

Some of the girls do that crying thing for attention at times: it involves careful patting of the skin on the cheekbones - the area under the sunglasses. Also some genteel sniffing and maybe a lip wobble.so obvious.

Speaking of sunglasses I don't know what the kids are wearing these days but they all look ridiculous.
Couldn't choose between Kendall's Dame Edna specs, Dani and Jack his'n hers diamanté disasters and Eyal's octagonal purple plastic kiddie shades.

Those of you who are interested in where they get their clothes/sunglasses etc, there's and Instagram account called LoseIslandFashionFinder that has links where you can buy stuff. Unsurprisingly they're all wearing essentially lingerie.

There are also some brands that come up again and again and there are definate themes in their clothes (the nude lace body, the lace kimono) that make you realise they've been fully styled. I doubt those are their own clothes at all.

Not that I'm complaining, we all know how shit everyone looks on Big Brother after 5 minutes with stained hoodies on all the time.
