Versailles - Series 3 (UK pace in case it's already showing elsewhere!)

It has been confirmed series 3 will be the last!
I'm assuming it will be on soon as BBC2 is currently repeating the last series in a late night slot.... Here's hoping?!

I've just watched episode 9 can't believe next week is the last ever episode. I don't know anybody else who watches but it's one of my favourite programmes. I love Marchal (??) the king's henchman I hope he gets together with Feisty Woman and live happy ever after.

Marchal!! Left in a cell.. why did he go back?

I know, why did he go back indeed, to stop them, to help shoot the king, to go back to protecting the king? Who knows! He'd be moodily prowling the woods where he belongs if he had kept going.

That was a rubbish ending. I will miss it though.

Marchall was the bit that upset me too! I wanted him to run off to Spain to hook back up with Beatrice’s daughter (who’s name I can never remember). He always reminds me of the british policeman in allo allo.

Loved the princess, Phillipe and chevalier all kissing and making up at the end.

Will miss it!

Yes wish he went off to find her, it was a bizarre ending for someone portrayed as strong and menacing. He and Phillippe were my favourites.

Yes Sophie! That’s right. I wanted the last scene to be the two of them riding off into the distance to a happy ending...sigh... well as it is the last episode I’m going to assume Marchall breaks out of prison and finds her

I couldn’t take to Louis at all as a character but then I suppose that was probably the point.

Me too. Loved it!
Hated Chevalier in the first series but grew to love him, sigh and Phillipe was wonderful. Sophie was very beautiful and I too thought she might land up with Marschall, another great character. Rotten end for him I thought but I suppose it was his come uppance for all those he had made suffer.
Well it wasn't the greatest end but good that it left us fans wanting more.
Can't believe that none of the main characters have any big roles coming up, according to IMDB. They are all so good.
