80’s I’m ashamed to admit Taylor Swift was amazing Grin brilliant atmosphere & Dd loved it so much it’s makes it all with the effort just to see how excited Dd is!

The80sweregreat · 23/06/2018 17:45

Glad it went well Nancy - Your daughter is so lucky to have you as your happy go take her to gigs and so on. Mine would never have done this for me!

nancy75 · 23/06/2018 17:53

I’m saving it all up, when I’m old and need someone to Look after me I will remind her of our many trips to WembleyGrinGrin
I love taking her to these things, she’s only going to be this age once & I want to make the most of it with her

The80sweregreat · 23/06/2018 18:17

That’s really nice! I wished the EE characters would go to a gig! That would be funny.

mrswhiplington · 23/06/2018 20:33

Hayley is starting to grow on me. I really like the relationship that she is developing with Jean. I prefer the Slater household when Kat isn't around.

Stu gives me the creeps. That high pitched hysterical laugh sets my teeth on edge.

I noticed they shoehorned in a reference to Tanya being unwell so not able to look after baby Abi. The writers have been on Mumsnet again.Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/06/2018 23:10

Grin I'm still milking the fact I took DD and her mate to Hyde Park last year.

"DD, can you make me coffee"
"I'm busy doing homework/having a shower/any other random teen crap"
"But I took you to see Justin Bieber and stood for 10 hours and you both went off and left me so you could get near the front..." whine

"Ok. Coffee"

(I'll get years out of this Grin )

I was watching some old "Prime Suspect" , loads of familiar faces.
Linda Henry with long hair doing a post-mortem
Danny Dyer really young as a rent boy. (His acting hasn't changed )

The80sweregreat · 24/06/2018 08:16

70 - your a heorine of mine standing 10 hours for the Beiber! I struggle to stand for an hour anywhere these days let alone in crowds.
Isnt it odd how pairs of actors often work together on other things then end up in the same programmes!
When I watched ‘fish tank’ with Hayley ( Katie Jarvis) in it years ago I thought then ‘ she will end up in EE’.
A Keanu / Hayley affair could be ok - he might keep her on the straight and narrow.

arriettyspiders · 24/06/2018 11:53

DD is ok,in small doses. I can imagine his the same at home with his 'missus' as he is in EE somehow.

Did you see DD in the genealogy programme, Who do you think you are? He's just the same, I thought, Mockney Mick. He seemed pleasant enough, and he was pleased to find he was related to Thomas Cromwell. If I remember correctly.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/06/2018 21:53

Finally caught up tho tbh a bit boring with STU and his bashing of perves

Wonder if they will slip in tomorrow episode of England amazing amount of goals in today match

Morning - I saw a bbc trailer for some upcoming storylines in ee yesterday, but it doesn't really give anything away spoilerwise thankfully (well done bbc for once!) just in case anyone wants to avoid it Smile

SoupDragon · 25/06/2018 08:36

I think I “didn’t see” the same trailer yesterday as I shut my eyes and stuck my fingers in my ears 😂😂 Glad to know it doesn’t actually give anything away.

The80sweregreat · 25/06/2018 09:06

blondes, being a huge footie fan they might shoehorn in a mention of the world cup - get the bunting out.

The80sweregreat · 25/06/2018 09:22

I meant Mick being a huge football fan.
i watched the trailer, seems to be more angst for Mick and co (for a change, not)

SinisterBumFacedCat · 25/06/2018 19:10

I'm a bit underwhelmed by the trailer tbh

MrsJayy · 25/06/2018 19:47

I watched Noel Clarkes film the other night (is it adulthood) Danny dyer doing the squinty acting he just squints all the time. I have nearly caught up I know Stuart has been through a lot but he doesn't half give me the heebie jeebies

The80sweregreat · 25/06/2018 20:12

Stuart must be a good actor as we are all troubled by him! He is sinister.

MrsJayy · 25/06/2018 20:18

He really is a headcase

Akire · 25/06/2018 21:42

Are we going for the most scenes in one epidode filmed in the cafe? One Martin had eaten then he’s leaving, in the next he’s back in eating again.

In no planet would Martin move in with all those relatives !

nancy75 · 25/06/2018 21:50

Martin must need his head testing if he’s moving in with that lot
The cab storyline is a farce, it takes about 2 years to do the knowledge, you can’t just pick up fares without a carriage license

Akire · 25/06/2018 21:51

Another Martin in cafe and Becks and lousie and kat and Jean. That’s about 8 now.

This is boring with Maz and Ian why can’t they both run business??

Akire · 25/06/2018 21:56

Is Mel wearing the entire MnS collection of weird clothes? Think that’s first actual real life person I’ve seen with silly sleeves not on the hanger

nancy75 · 25/06/2018 22:08

Ian is such a twat & Jack would be better off with Honey.
When the slaters are all in the cab where are the kids? I’m guessing 8 month old hope isn’t doing a bit of shopping in the market on her own?

Akire · 25/06/2018 22:19

Is Whitney supposed to be looking after them all time? She didn’t seem have s job now does she?

Is this bloke going to be innocent and then lose his job and kill himself.

nancy75 · 25/06/2018 22:22

Is Twitney even there? Sometimes she works in the pub for a 5 minute shift but I’ve not really seen her for ages

BeautifulFern · 25/06/2018 22:31

a bit boring with STU and his bashing of perves yeah another distasteful storyline pre-watershed. its almost like they (the scriptwriters) relish it. now there's a potential domestic violence story, since we haven't had one for 10 minutes.

but apart from that its not bad. i like the wicked witches Slater tribe (which seem to be growing daily) round the --cauldron- kitchen table Grin. like the free-flowing female humour/sarcasm Smile.
