Anyone watching?!

I LOVE this show. Was totally gutted when they killed off Lexa. So I named my dog it Grin

Been waiting anxiously for this to return. So glad it has

It's always been a little unrealistic tbh...

I mean, I assume all the women have implants to stop multiple pregnancies but surely some would fail. Octavia can't be the only floor baby.

And I think it's Octavias make up that makes her look odd. She looks normal when the makeup isn't on her.

Octavia looks so different I had to check she was still played by Marie Avgeropoulos.

Not sure if this site is accurate but...

www.celebritieswith.com/marie-avgeropoulos-nose-job-plastic-surgery/

If it is accurate she looked way prettier before! Sad She is a stunning woman, so sad she had to tamper with her natural beauty, but none of my business really.

Italiangreyhound · 28/07/2018 11:39

I guess I mean she looked naturally beautiful. She is still stunning of course.

Italiangreyhound · 28/07/2018 11:39

Yes, why is only one woman on the planet pregnant!

bakingdemon · 28/07/2018 12:51

There was quite a lot of shagging in the first series but there's been very little since. Maybe they're all just so exhausted by trying to survive that no one has the energy for sex?

Soubriquet · 28/07/2018 12:55

Possibly.

And like I said, I'm betting the ark implanted their women.

The was also possibly natural remedies for the grounders and possibly contraceptives in the bunker.

Italiangreyhound · 28/07/2018 15:58

They must all smell, a lot, that would put me off sex!

Soubriquet · 28/07/2018 16:27

GrinGrin

Didn't stop us in the olden days though did it

Good point!

Italiangreyhound · 01/08/2018 23:15

I'm a bit confused. I understand that Clarke was betraying the last of the humans from Sky Crewe and all the Grounders, now won crewe because she was worried for Maddie.

But I don't really understand why Abi and Markus have gone over to the Dark Side.

And why would Diyoza give herself in, she knows that McCreary will kill her when the baby is born.

PS Luisa D'Oliveira who plays Emori is really pretty in real life! That tattoo does not suit her!

Soubriquet · 02/08/2018 08:53

I think it's all complicated tbh. Clarke had practically raised Madi. She was the only person she had contact with in 6 years. She was desperate not to repeat a mount weather situation but I think her maternal instincts just took over. Plus, don't forget, if Madi was to help, she would be accepting the position of Heda and then having to rule over all of her people. A big task for a young girl. No commander has ever lived long and I think that terrifies Clarke especially after what happened to Lexa.

Diyoza and Kane went back because like Kane said, he did not want Octavia to have the valley. She had turned and not for the better.

Kane has always been an optimist since he landed on the ground.

I'm sure Diyoza has a couple of tricks up her sleeve for dealing with McCreary.

Abi and Kane didn't have a choice about going with Diyoza to begin with. Kane was going to be liked for treason and Diyoza was threatening to kill everyone so they went willingly to stay alive. Then Kane, being the optimist, is trying to see the good in everything.

Abi is just doing what she's doing which is keeping people alive.

I really hope Kane isn't dead. His arc is my favourite of all the characters who've been in it since the beginning.

Finale this week!

Italiangreyhound · 05/08/2018 21:22

His 'arc'? @bakingdemon

Soubriquet · 05/08/2018 21:45

I think she meant to say character?

And yes finale this week...hopefully won't end on a massive clinghanger but knowing them it will

OP posts:
Italiangreyhound · 05/08/2018 21:56

Glad that nasty one died!

Abi is doing what she is doing for the pills!!!!

Italiangreyhound · 05/08/2018 21:57

'...hopefully won't end on a massive clinghanger .... Of course it will!!!!

bakingdemon · 06/08/2018 14:05

@Italiangreyhound his narrative arc - as in where he started (on the council of the Ark, pretty hardline) and what he's come through to get to where he is now (in and out of leadership roles, in love with Abi, disagreeing with his former ally Jahar, now making a deal with McCreary to defeat Octavia)

Italiangreyhound · 06/08/2018 20:37

@bakingdemon i think he was a nice guy who has made some very poor choices.

Soubriquet · 07/08/2018 13:44

Yes me too. I hated him in season one when he was pushing to float 300 people.

But he evolved very quickly once he reached the ground

THere will be a series 6 and, it is rumoured a 7 !!!!!

viques · 08/08/2018 23:03

New planet, but I bet no aliens, just more tribal humans with tattoo addictions, a penchant for leather and an inexhaustible supply of clean strappy t shirts eyeliner. I love 100, bring on the inconsistencies because they are the best bits.

BrieAndChilli · 08/08/2018 23:34

Just watched the finale and bawled my eyes out at the last 10 minutes!!

Soubriquet · 09/08/2018 08:04

I cried too Blush

I'll miss Monty and Harper in the new series

OP posts:
bakingdemon · 09/08/2018 13:47

I want aliens! In season 1 we saw weird radioactive animals (remember that two headed deer and the massive snake in the river?) but I figured the budget just couldn't stretch to more beasties.

I didn't see another planet coming - I really thought they'd try another bit of Earth.

bakingdemon · 09/08/2018 14:27

Being a bit of a telly nerd, I do love to read up on what the showrunners are thinking for the next series - if you don't want any idea at all, don't keep reading this post.

So this is an interview with the showrunner: www.eonline.com/uk/news/958413/what-s-next-after-the-100-season-5-finale-just-blew-everything-up

This is what he says about the new planet: ""It's an Earth-like planet, we've seen it from space. It will pack many, many surprises, the creatures that we encounter are not things that would've been on Earth. You know, the threats and the mysteries, it's just endless, you know, the sky's literally the limit as far as what we can and hopefully will encounter. You know, it's survivable to humans, so it has to have a certain...as Monty says it's in the Goldilocks zone of binary star system. So we know there's two stars, we know there's water and land and trees based on what we've seen from space. The rest is going to be revealed, obviously, as they touch down in season six."

And on the passing of 125 years:
"It's ironic that even though it's a way, way longer time jump, for them it was like going to bed the night before and waking up the next day," Rothenberg says. "So you know, all of the stuff that lingers at the end of season 5 between Bellamy and Octavia, for instance, is still there in a big way in season 6 as we start. That is a relationship that is in trouble and needs to, you know, find a new normal."

And from here: ew.com/tv/2018/08/07/the-100-season-5-finale-postmortem-new-planet-monty/
"But we are going in search of Eligius III, with the hope that Eligius III made it to this planet and populated it and were able to survive. We’ll join what is essentially the next outpost for humanity. The story for season 6 is in many ways about what happened to Eligius III and how we interact with what happened to Eligius III. Are there survivors? " [There so are going to be other survivors, aren't there?]

And this reddit thread has some supergeeks on it: www.reddit.com/r/The100/comments/95jnxd/morning_after_analysis_s5e13_damoclespart_two/
The most interesting point to me being that Eligius III were all nightbloods, so whether that means Clarke and Madi are special somehow.
