I think Jessie Buckley is good as Marian but I don’t remember Laura being so forward.

1982 was it? I remember that very vaguely (though I won't have watched it in '82). He had an affinity with animals and a benign manner didn't he, and I remember his mice. Not surprised we didn't see them in this adaptation, they don't 'fit' with this potrayal of Fosco.

I think parts of the last episode were better than earlier episodes, and I like they tried to explain what happened to Fosco even if it wasn't entirely accurate.
