Oh it's weird with just Dec. He seems nervous.

I don't watch much usually and I missed the beginning but I actually think its better with just Dec. Ant has been looking well out of it recently straining to keep it up.

Dec is somehow more alive and real, IMHO.

Sorry but it's rubbish ! Why the fck did ant not just ring a taxi or limo service ? He had the money ? No sympathy for any but I do have for Dec and the rest of itv

He was brilliant ! That must have been so hard for him

I didn’t see it, but I think generally part of their appeal is their one liners which is hard to set up and deliver yourself
Also, Dec must have had to do double the amount of speaking than usual!
Glad he seems to have done well, he doesn’t deserve to have his career down the pan because of the actions of his professional other half so I hope he continues to receive support from his fans.

I think he works better as part of a pair. Tbh this might be a good thing - they are both quite old to be doing the cheeky boy next door thing. Maybe they could mix it up a bit.

What was that awful Surprise thing at the start?

How did that illusion work at the end? I assume the camera was turning with the box?

Stephen Merchant provided just the right about of banter and struck the right tone tonight. Good choice.

Dec's "Hold me Stephen!" Right at the end was funny but :( too.

I think Dec did just fine. The press will be most disappointed.

Thought it went quite well as well. There were obvious nerves at the beginning, but the banter with Stephen Worked well.

The End Of Show Show was clever.

I agree. It summed up the episode well.

Dec always seemed more professional than Ant I thought he did a fab job.

I hope Ant comes back because I’m not convinced either of them could go solo in the long term. In the short term yes. For a few weeks. But no more than that.

I think maybe Dec should think about going it alone - as the report says he's the more charismatic and I think would have a better future on his own. Maybe a growing up process....

I thought Dec did a much better job then Ant would have done if he'd had to present on his own. It was the first time this series that I watched without feeling a bit on edge, which was how I'd felt watching Ant since the first episode. Dec was totally professional and in control - good on him!

Dec and Stephen were great. I still didn't my know why they have Scarlet on? I mean to say she's had no experience she does do well but there are so many better presenters than her?

But otherwise they’d wheel out the same old Holly Willoughby, Ferne Cotton, Davina. I think I prefer Scarlets less polished style.

I like Scarlett Moffat why shouldn't she have a go at tv presenting it could all end tomorrow for her so least she is enjoying the opportunity she gets stuck in.

I agree that Scarlett may be enjoying her time in the limelight. However, she just isn’t very good at it. She was one of the presenters on ‘i’m A Celebrity’ - the ITV 2 show and she was like a duck out of water. Possibly it wasn’t her fault, and she hasn’t had the right training, but she was very amateurish on that show.

However, she does come across friendly and likeable, just not a good presenter.

I also like the fact she’s not the factory size 8 clothes horse.

I love Scarlett however , she’s made me laugh out loud on several occasions

I think dec did even better than the previous weekend.
