After reading on here so many people recommend battle star galactica I've just gone onto amazon prime to watch but there is so many different ones and I don't know which one you are supposed to watch first.
Can anyone help?

Start with season 1. There are a lot of extras but just follow the seasons for ease.
The remake of Battlestar Galactica is superb, hope you enjoy it.

Watch the miniseries before season 1 - it's in two parts and is 3 hours all together. Sets the scene, season 1 won't make sense if you miss it out.

The re-make was outstanding. It will lose some of its impact watching at distance, but DH and I watched the episodes when the human settlers on one of the planets had been subjugated by the cylons and the suicide bombings started like this > Shock Shock It was a take-down of US foreign policy in Iraq. It was amazing to see such an overt, mainstream critique - I can only assume they got away with it because it was sci-fi. It's quite political and philosophical in its own way, with a very even-handed approach to eye-candy.

Me and my husband are a bit obsessed with BSG and we watch it (the reimagined/new version) every 1-2 years. Next year will be our 6th viewing. The best and the most comprehensive viewing order I have found so far is this one:

Sorry I can’t seem to do a proper link, (on my mobile at least), I have no idea how!
