I tried this thread on the main telly page and it just died, but I really want to talk to others who've watched all of this currently available so I'm trying again here.

I've really enjoyed it

Time travelers come back to stop the world going to shit, and assume the bodies and identities of people destined to die seconds before their death.

I've seen it. I liked the original premise, but found that I enjoyed it less after it became more about the different factions trying to undermine each other.

Im up to the bit in season 2 where they have a virus thing.
I still like it, but golly it's confusing

I have issues with David!

I mean he just buys it that she's been faking a learning disability for years and is really with the FBI like NO ONE WOULD BUY THAT BLATANTLY OBVIOUS LIE

and then he's mad at her.

His behaviour defies credulity completely

But I had to get to wonder what their names really were and what their world was like.

Yes david is a creep
I kind of balnked out that bit, as an sn parent.
I am annoyed with the cop who is now playing happy families after dv

He KILLED the real Carly! He's really a MURDERER the traveler knows this and still has a relationship with him?!

I like Marcy and her social worker. That’s the core or heart of it for me. The season 2 finale was hard for this reason

ValleyClouds · 24/03/2018 01:06

But the touching aspect of it pales and fades away when you consider it from not the Marcy the traveler we know but the overall story of that person.

David, a social worker by profession rescues a very vulnerable impaired woman from the street.

When suddenly overnight all her disabilities disappear and she also has advanced medical ability, he lets her move with him chooses to believe she was undercover the whole time and faking it, despite this being massively implausible, and has sex with her.
We don't really know the Marcy he did but
When he met her she had the intellectual capacity of a child and he had a duty of care towards her.

I think they needed to show in S2 that "old Marcy" wasn't always impaired PURELY to make her relationship with David less problematic and it still doesn't really solve it because be that as it may HE wasn't aware of that.

THEN he has the bastard cheek to be MAD that the Marcy he's being having sex with isn't the original Marcy!

He should be on his knees thanking the gods that he isn't THAT pervert guy but up to that reveal he really was abusing his position, it's lessened for the audience because we know the truth but HE DOESNT
