It's finally the FINAL! It seemed a long time coming tbh....the skating has at times been painful, but the threads have always been entertaining!

So. It's time to crown this year's best Donkey On Ice!!!!

Well, that's that then. Let's hope that by next year they'll have put the set back to normal, got Robin Cousins and Karen Barber back, and got some proper skaters. Thanks all, and I'll hopefully see you in the summer for SCD!

Oh god, I had to take a break to eat my special mother’s day dinner - takeaway curry! Couldn’t actually stand the tension so I’m very relieved to have scrolled through and found out justice has been done! Gutted for Max and Ali, she looked absolutely heartbroken, very emotional, and they totally both knew they’d been robbed of their opportunity.
Max and Jake have such different styles but I think either would have been worthy winners. Glad for Jake. So relieved he won!
However, if I were Vanessa, I would be cross no one had pulled the hair off her chin!!

However, in saying that, I thought Brooke and Matteo’s interpretation of the bolero was actually really beautiful and it worked very well. She was so emotion at the end, it started off a bit scruffy but I surprisingly thought it was fantastic to see it done differently.

Sorry, spelt his name totally wrong, the entire series I was hearing his name as Matt A, like kids are named at school with their surname initial to differentiate 😱😱

Brooke should never have got into the final, let alone into the final 2.

T&D are just awesome. They make it look effortless.

Just watched it on catch up, it's soooo good to be able FF through all the adverts! Well I can't say I'm sorry it's finished. I'd not be surprised if it didn't come back next year.

I'm glad Brooke didn't win, she should never have been on this final programme full stop, but she had got a lot better in the last few episodes. I don't think any of them inspired me to want them to win this year, nobody stood out or looked fantastic. The winner was just the best of a bad bunch.

Torville and Dean were wonderful though, they looked better than ever.

T&D just make it look completely, flawlessly effortless. Still amazing!

I’m really glad the didn’t bother with the flying this year, It’s purely down to the transitions on and off the ice and holding a position in the air. I always found it pretty boring.
But I wish they’d bring back a judges element every week and props week.
Plus T&D to coach again, sort the panel out, get rid of the inside of the training rink, bring back Karen barber and Robin Cousins. Cut out the multiple adverts and shorten the show. Just no need!
Also, get some decent celebrities in

Is it ChessieFL? That makes sense seeing as they have been sat down for 2 hours at that table but a bit disappointing at the same time. I wonder if they redid bits. Did you go?

No, I didn’t go as where they film is miles away from where I live and I didn’t think it would be worth it just to see one routine (even if it was T&D!) I would have gone if I had got tickets to see the main show being filmed but I wasn’t lucky.

DD noticed how when T&D skated, the 'live' notification was not in the corner of the TV.
To be fair I think Brooke did much better than I expected. I was just saying how I was impressed with her progress when she blurted all that about first the worst, was it a fix etc. Really? FFS.
