Trailers which show all the best bits of a forthcoming programme so that when you see the actual programme the only bits you haven't seen are the boring bits . Yes yes to the endless resumes of what you've just seen and what you are going to see after the break ,usually on a half hour programme so that's five minutes wasted then . And a very specific one - is it Gordon Buchanan the wildlife prog maker who takes brilliant footage of animals but half of the programme is devoted to pictures of him taking the film and not the animals , I want to see the animals and not the bloody film maker ,yes I know he's very clever and all that but can we concentrate on the wildlife please

Estrelizia · 13/03/2018 20:32

Oh yes , and that whooshy sound effect they use on bloody everything especially classic serials to sort of join scenes together .Once you've heard it you keep noticing it on everything

Spoilers!! Arghh you wait a week to find out what’s happening after someone got run over/stabbed/had a baby. But they annoouce it with and now it’s a sad day in weatherfield... oh great thanks for that.

Oh the stupid public annocements for random events. If you have been effected by the events in this programme ring this number for list of organisations. Why bbc? Everyone can google just as fast. Why waste money on providing things that most people can find.

I really hate any stupid arty camera work. You remember when you never film someone directly in front of sun because it’s blinding and annoying only
Now it’s “arty” and migraine giving. Ditto flashing light everytime a programme goes back in time or to different scence. Why? Since when is flashes of light anything other than annoying? How many times a day to you flash light in your eyes?

ppeatfruit · 14/03/2018 10:07

missingthese Yes I noticed that a particular piece of music is played by lazy programme makers ALL the time! But WHT have any?? Esp. in nature programmes.

Oh Akire And strange camera angles ! There was quite an interesting programme about small environmentally friendly businesses start ups. But the poor presenter lady was literally being followed by the camera and had to TURN ROUND all the time to talk to the camera . I felt for her stiff neck!! Why didn't she say "STOP you silly arse" to the director or whoever?

I think they like (and in the BBC's case probably need) to show that they're being responsible. And it's not necessarily the case that most people can just Google this stuff; not everyone has a computer or access to one, and some people probably wouldn't know how to search for things effectively.

The rubbish memory loss scriptwriters have when it comes to the history of a character. Good example is the current Corrie storyline where Fizz seems to have forgotten that she had a child with a murderer and assisted him in his crimes and is being all holier than thou to Tyrone and Ruby.

ppeatfruit · 14/03/2018 12:34

cheesy This isn't a defence of the soaps but they wouldn't exist without the character changes!
