Actually though if Sister Monica Joan is 80 (and she can't be any younger, can she) then she was born in 1883 and there would definitely not have been film footage of her becoming a nun in the early 1900s!

EduCated · 11/03/2018 21:05

What was going on with Phyllis’ back?!

FuzzyCustard · 11/03/2018 21:06

Sister MJ is 274.

SimonBridges · 11/03/2018 21:06

Why do they all call Tom Mr Hereward and not Rev Hereward?

IndominousRex · 11/03/2018 21:08

Did anyone else notice that the young girl’s baby boy turned into a baby girl a few minutes later?!

Onefliesoverthecuckoosnest · 11/03/2018 21:08

Re the rise of Dr One-Face.....isn't he married to Heidi Thomas the creator/producer....

GrumbleBumble · 11/03/2018 21:10

Simon because he's not vicar yet, he's a curate?

Ickyockycocky · 11/03/2018 21:11

I've just about had it with this programme. I loved it when it first started but not anymore. So many of the characters get on my nerves. Sister Monica Joan is top of my list, followed by Shelagh and her annoying husband. There only seems to be three nuns left, where have they all gone?

SimonBridges · 11/03/2018 21:11

Is he not? I have no ideas about the finer workings of the church.

Although Sister Bernadette Shelagh and O'Patrick are annoying, they are basically my parents. My mum binned off being a nun to marry my dad (not a GP but very similar though...!) and stayed close to all the sisters, so when I see the bits where they're hanging out and being cute with the kids and stuff it really reminds me of my family. My mum can be quite annoying though, so maybe it's an ex-nun thing?!

GreenOr · 11/03/2018 21:20

indominis I think she said ‘here’s your prize’ not ‘he’s your prize’

Tigresswoods · 11/03/2018 21:20

Soooo much teal this week. Was the case of Barbara's clothes all teal?

darksideofthemooncup · 11/03/2018 21:21

The drippy son gets on my nerves. Mind you he is a product of his equally drippy parents. Will totally be watching the next series though, if only to see if they bin the teal

Yorkshirebetty · 11/03/2018 21:25

Next series everything will be tangerine!!

GrumbleBumble · 11/03/2018 21:25

Simon I don't know how it works religion isn't my think (hence the question mark). But I do know Tom is a curate not a full vicar yet. A family friend is at this stage in the C of E church do it registered with me when it was mentioned last week/ the week before.
I've just googled it and apparently it's correct to refer to a vicar as rev. So-and-so but it's correct to call them Mr So-and-so when you are talking to them. Everyday's a school day.

GreenOr · 11/03/2018 21:32

Goodness that ending was harsh!.... I was pretty uninterested until the cinema party! Then I fell to bits!

Ickyockycocky · 11/03/2018 21:37

Teal is the colour for ovarian cancer.

Just watching on iPlayer now. Can anyone who has read the books tell me if Phyllis was a real person in them or made up for the tv?

MrsJayy · 11/03/2018 21:40

Tom isn't vicar of the Parish that is why he is Mr in the church of Scotland curates are Deacon or Deaconess

MrsJayy · 11/03/2018 21:41

Phylis was after the books .

MyOtherProfile · 11/03/2018 21:43

Oh so Phyllis wasn't real? Gutted!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 11/03/2018 21:59

I have worked with nurses like Phyllis so she is real sort of

I was just about holding it together until the young girl named the baby Barbara and I was a sobbing wreck again, dd announced she isn't going to let me watch CTM again Grin

Even though this series has been a bit shaky at times I am still gutted it is over Sad

TuftedLadyGrotto · 11/03/2018 22:04

Of course I'll watch the next series. Its not like I have anything more pressing to do on a Sunday evening.

Gooseysgirl · 11/03/2018 22:07

Just catching up on this thread... cried for most of the episode except when Dr T turned up on duty in the police station... I spat out my tea 😂 FFS the Turners are ridiculous

CurbsideProphet · 11/03/2018 22:08

How far ahead will the next series jump? A couple of years?
