Is anyone watching this? It’s quite grim at times but really gripping.
Surrane Jones cannot do a London accent though.

It starts on Sky Atlantic on Wednesday i didnt realise it hadn't been on yet Dh found it while bored on a snowday

I think there was a continuity mistake in the pictures on the wall. Nelly was wearing the yellow puffa jacket but didn’t he acquire that from a bag of old stuff Zita gave him after the police took his clothes?

I think that was his jacket anyway he was seeing Teen and Zita at the same time so probably had some clothes at zitas

I thought it was brilliant and really liked the ending. The scene with the caravans made me cry and Nelly carrying Grace out and Claire’s reaction was so gut wrenching. Anyone know if a second series is planned?

Watched all episodes - loved it.

Would have been even better had it been on BBC/ITV then all tv watchers could have had the chance to see what can happened with children being groomed.

Binge watched it all over the weekend, really liked the characters around the estate & the pub felt so real, I kind of guessed there wouldn’t be a happy reconciled ending, the last episodes were just too uncomfortable for that to happen

Question that’s bugging me, the phone that Luke was calling Nelly from, with Jody’s message on - was that actually Jody’s phone that he’d taken off her? Or was it his phone but he’d recorded her vm message? And if the second, the police could’ve known straight away that number wasn’t hers, surely? Confused

So how come he owed them so much? I thought he was going to be involved somehow. No he didnt seem that bothered nor the brother. How did the student know where she was being held?

Just finished it. My ds had warned me about the ending but it was even more heartbreaking than I imagined. I'm not a Suranne Jones fan but I think her portrayal as a mother in this was spot on. Lennie James is such a huge talent. I hope we see more of him. The whole cast was great tbh and it's great to see a drama which makes good use of the supporting actors.

I think lack of buzz was due to it being all available in one go - bingers couldn't say much for fear of spoiling. I semi-binged, but really would have preferred weekly with Broadchurch style buzz and speculation..

Loved this! Really gripping we raced through this.
Wasn’t at all expecting that ending and didn’t know how to take it! Was disappointed it wasn’t her but what a coincidence that the girl he found looked just like her. She said there were other girls so hopefully if there is a series 2 it will delve deeper.
Loved the whole estate feel it was set on and the day to day details.

I didn't know how to take the end either. What stood out for me in the scene when Nelly carried her out was Suranne Jones. She just broke down.

I loved this. Loved the estate feel and the community spirit, really reminded me of where i grew up. It was nice to see the characters reconcile when SJ went back to the estate and everyone rallied around her even though she was obviously much richer than them all now.

I found it very realistic. Loved Tins character. Really reminded me of my mil with all the pink and obviously Nelly was amazing. I think they kept it quite good even to the end of guessing who was involved. I had lots of suspects! As everyone else has said, lots of open ends that need tieing up. I binge watched the whole series this week as i was desperate to see where they found Jodie so was a little dissapointed with the ending but looking forward to another series already.
