I know I'm a little late to the party but I didn't bother taping this when first on.
It's now being shown on an Irish channel and have taped it.
I watched the first episode - Season 1.
Gosh it's dark.
Depressing too- do I really want to spend another 5/6? hours watching the series ?
Your opinions please.

I'm up to episode 10. I haven't watched it yet.
It's tough going.
I'm forcing myself to watch.

What did you think Eloise?
Read the book next.

Very disturbing and dark.
The thought of facing episode 10 !

Series 2 starts on Irish telly next week

Does anyone know when it's starting on Channel 4

It's a fantastic series, the threads on the first series are great, I was on and off them but very informative

I read the book a long time ago.

Shock I'm watching Series 1 on Irish telly at the moment. ShockI'm not ready for Series 2. It's been a really difficult, depressing watch.

Season 2 trailer!

WitchSharkadder · 25/04/2018 14:34

I’m so desperate for season 2 I’m considering jumping on a plane to the US. I wish Channel 4 would just give us an air date already.

eloisesparkle · 25/04/2018 17:57

Witch
If you're in the UK just pop over to Dublin ( or Belfast) and you can watch on RTE television. It's the national broadcaster in Ireland.

I’ve just watched episodes 1&2 of season 2.

Wow. It’s an even harder watch if you can believe that. No spoilers obviously - but in general - Getting some back stories of other hand maidens and seeing the colonies for the first time as well as continuing Offred’s journey.

Gripping, extraordinarily well acted but some really shocking scenes. Brace yourselves.

WitchSharkadder · 25/04/2018 19:34

I wish hopping over to ireland was a possibility, Eloise, I’m a full blown addict. 😁

Where are you, Comfortably? (BTW, I love your username.

Crinkle77 · 25/04/2018 20:24

comfortablyglum how have you watched it. Thought it was only premiering in the U.S. Tonight

DozyDoates · 25/04/2018 20:33

Does anyone know if season 1 is being shown again? I watched it while on maternity leave to break up the monotony of real housewives and homes under the hammer and I was a wreck watching it. I had to force myself to finish the series! I'd like to watch it again, with DH this time, before series 2 starts.

ComfortablyGlum · 25/04/2018 22:15

I’m in the UK - a friend sent me a link. I assumed he had downloaded it from the telly but maybe not if it’s not been on yet. Umm - looks like it could’ve been a dodgy link then (although it was HD quality). Feel bad now...oh well I can’t unsee it - will be more careful next time.

Crinkle77 · 27/04/2018 16:34

I am just jealous comfortably. A colleague has managed to download it through show box and has watched the first one. I am livid.

DozyDoates · 11/05/2018 21:20

Next Sunday!!! I can't wait, though still trying to find a legal way to catch up DH on series one in the meantime...

It’s £20 on DVD or £15 on Amazon Prime if you’re keen to be totally upright about it 😏
