Anyone else think this is great but gets very distracted by Anna Friel's cosmetic surgery? Such a shame; great acting, great story lines but I spend most of the time looking at her top lip. Annoys me. Anyone else shallow or just me?

I watched the first one last year and her top lip really got to me. It was just so noticeable and I spent far too much time wondering what she was trying to achieve and what procedure she had done. Confused

I think she is a great actress but everybody around her was wooden and plot a bit convoluted. Expected more from hans rosenfeld.
Did anna friel have surgery? To what?

Coincidentally I just watched first episode of season 1 last night. And Googled ‘Anna friel lips’ as soon as it was finished. Very odd.

Her face is utterly bizarre. Duck lips. Her face is swollen and immobile. Botox & fillers would be my guess.

Very distracting. Couldn't remember if her mouth had always been that way or was surgery.

Thong bare bottom scene was unnecessary too

Think she's had a lot of something done to her face. Too lip is very strange, almost duck like. I'm sure she's talked about having surgery in the past. Amazes me why someone pretty and talented would do that.

We had no idea what was going on for that episode. And why is she so personally involved with every case? Surely she wouldn't be allowed to work on cases she had a personal connection with. All a bit strange.

She also walks like a navvie with that bloody Columbo coat on. It's awful. I like the plot but her as the lead is unwatchable.

I find the walk more distracting than anything else. She's definitely had surgery though, which is a shame as she looked lovely prior to it.

The noticeable lip I can (just) live with. I'm not quite sure what they've done to Anna Friel in this role. I can't work out if the character is awkward for AF or if she is just shit at acting. I did however, like her in Broken.

Does anyone else struggle with the sound on this programme? It seems to go REALLY loud whenever there's no dialog - I have to turn the volume down, then when someone speaks I can barely hear them.

I'm sure the noise is on purpose to try to invoke the craziness and confusion that's going on in Marcella's mind, but why does the volume have to be so loud?!

That’s the correct way to pronounce it.

I can’t stand her though. She has always had a strange mouth even as a teenager when she was in Brookside. And she walks like she has been sat on a horse. Her accent is Rochdale originally but is now a mix of that and a more London accent after years of living there.

wtf is going on here now? and why didnt anyone menrion her son being traumatized last series while his Dad was up to no good? Inmean what are the chances?! Ans seriously, wtf is up with Anna Friels walk? She kooks like she hours away from giving birth!

Watched the 2nd episode today. Why is she walking like that??! As someone else says it’s like she’s about to drop any minute. It’s really very strange.

I’m a bit confused, who are the couple with the girl with the young baby and the guy with the bald head who has the gun? I can’t work out what their connection is to it all? Other than that you saw at the end that the nurse was spoon feeding a man who had an abdominal scar like the dead boy and the one that’s been abducted. I kept thinking that the bald guy was going to do something horrible to the baby every time he was left alone with it which was making me feel very anxious watching.

It's doing my head in . The music and the plot jumping from one scene to then next . I also can't workout what the couple with the baby has to do with plot and I'm now confused who all the boys are that have been abducted ? Are some being abducted now or were some from years ago ? I'm so so confused ? Can't say Iv noticed her lip ? Also agree what the hell was the point of her bare bottom walking to toilet ? Oh and why is her house always so bloody dark and why is her colleague spying on her ? Just too much going on that I can't follow

That sums it up for me too. Collateral has been a much better series to watch.
