Another cliffhanger! I have my theory....

I hate in shows that when a woman is seen partying there is concerns about her being a good mother etc as I'm sure this is the route it's going down but if Jackson went 'partying' no one would be concerned and calling his parenting into question.
In fact the episode where Jackson bought a boat and the men went drinking for the day and came back into the hospital drunk nothing was said

iheartmichellemallon · 22/03/2018 20:12

Good point Mysterious - totally agree.

Papergirl1968 · 22/03/2018 21:52

And who was looking after the baby when Jackson and April were at the games night? Come to think of it, where were Meredith's kids?
Probably all at the hospital nursery that conveniently seems to be open round the clock!

shartsi · 23/03/2018 15:26

I am not watching Grey's anatomy ever again. Jackson and Maggie don't make a good couple. I can't stand Maggie. Poor April being made to look crazy.

duggiehug · 23/03/2018 22:02

I'm close to giving up on it too. It's just become too ridiculous. Not enough good characters left or the ones that used to be good have become parodies. Dr Webber, for example, seems to be just a joke character now. Plus they are trying to make the new characters interesting but I'm just not feeling it.

Stormsurfer · 23/03/2018 22:49

Yes after that games night, Jackson should have gone to April not Maggie. It felt so wrong him giving his speech to Maggie when he did the same to April at her wedding. And none of the new ones are at all interesting.

duggiehug · 23/03/2018 23:22

Oh and don't even get me started on the tokenism. Hello Muslim woman and trans man?

Stormsurfer · 23/03/2018 23:55

Ha yes, good point. And how come one sibling is soooo Italian and the other not at all?? And I don't get the whole "we are so bad for each other" thing. Zero chemistry there either.

AngeloMysterioso · 28/03/2018 23:45

Jackson and Maggie!! No!! Just, no!! Fuck no!!! Angry

iheartmichellemallon · 28/03/2018 23:57

Another shit episode tonight - hated how they did the flashbacks as really couldn't care about the back stories of those characters (including Karev).

The only good bit was the depth of discussion between April & the bloke from Ally McBeal. Hope she finds her faith again.

PurpleDaisies · 28/03/2018 23:58

I’m seriously considering ditching it. It’s been rubbish for ages now..,

iheartmichellemallon · 28/03/2018 23:59

I know Purple, & feel the same but also feel like I need to see it through!

mnahmnah · 29/03/2018 09:31

I’m two weeks behind now as my mum has been staying with us. She’s going home today so I can finally catch up. Very curious what you’re all talking about! But concerned it’s getting more annoying!!!

Oooh can I come hang out with you guys??? I hate Jaggieson too

Stormsurfer · 29/03/2018 14:30

It really is such a bad fit Maggie + Jackson. It is soooo unbelievable. And why was I not more moved by the proposal? Maybe time to ditch.

SleepingStandingUp · 29/03/2018 14:35

Mer is more annoying that usual.

I liked April and Koracick

Stormsurfer · 29/03/2018 15:47

Yes I liked the April part.

cloudtree · 29/03/2018 15:52

I am really not happy about the Jackson Maggie thing. They're a dreadful match and the whole Jackson thing was supposed to be his overwhelming love for April and the fact that despite everything, the slipping of his golden boy halo and the trauma of her jilting someone at the alter and how that sat with her values on life, they were simply in love and couldn't help but be together.

The storyline about the difficulties they then faced was good but if Jackson doesn't pretty swiftly realise that he's made a massive mistake and go straight back to April I will be really Pd off.

How anyone could fancy Maggie anyway I really don't know. She's not a character anyone would easily warm to and find themselves unable to control themselves around.

cloudtree · 29/03/2018 15:54

Surely the only way this storyline can work though is if something dreadful happens to April and jackson realises he's been a complete knob.

SleepingStandingUp · 29/03/2018 16:25

I'm not sure April would take him back any more. She certainly isn't the girl he married but I think that's good and I think they'd be better now

cloudtree · 29/03/2018 16:53

I think she would take him back. I think she was confused after that trip when he met his father and thought they were getting back together (I was certainly confused!)

stitchglitched · 29/03/2018 17:00

The backstage drama and fallout from the axing of these two actresses is far more interesting than anything onscreen at the moment (with the exception of April). I'm joining the boycott now, can't be bothered with it anymore.

AngeloMysterioso · 29/03/2018 17:14

stitch- more info please! What backstage drama?

MysteriousCity · 29/03/2018 17:39

I have only just read that Meredith and Derek didn't get on behind the scenes and there is rumours she got him sacked. It kind of spoils it for me now knowing they all probably hate each other

stitchglitched · 29/03/2018 18:21

There has been a massive amount of backlash- a petition of thousands, boycott with a 15% ratings drop and promise of more next season once they've left, fans hired a plane with a banner that flew over the studios. Jesse Williams isn't even pretending to be impartial on twitter.

A 'crew member' has leaked a statement anonymously outlining the background to the firings which is detailed in this twitter thread

Reddit and Twitter are far more entertaining at the moment!
