Well didn't think we'd fill the first thread but we've hung in there with mascots and hopes of some 'ass on ice' action...so on with the donkeys on ice show!

Just pralines, finished them now anyway. Boo hoo. I shall spend the intervening week thinking of suitable names for the remaining contestants. If only I knew who they are.

Although one of them seems to be called "Come Saturday" as in "I'll be round your house come Saturday".

It's not really very fair because Lemar has done that dance so many times now.
That is a rubbish argument. He has performed it twice more but they've all had the same amount of time to practice it.
I thought she had potential but her performances this evening really weren't good. Lemar was better in the skate-off.
But Cheryl and Brooke should have been in the bottom 2

Practicing it and performing it in a skate off aren’t the same thing.

It’s also quite boring for the viewers.

Why don’t they reperform that nights dance like SCD- after all that’s why they are in the skate off (in theory!)

Bearbehind I agree re the D/O - they are there bc of that nights performance, therefore it should be judged on a rerun of THAT nights dance. Also gives them a chance if they've made a silly mistake to show what the routine SHOULD be like.

IMHO Lemar got the boot purely because of that daft move (which he did TWICE!) where he held onto his partner's bum and did a little skippety-hop thingy. It made my jaw drop with its silliness.

In other (SCD) news, the BBC reported that Brenda's contract has not been renewed. Too old or too chippy?

Yes I saw that too Fuzzy! I think it's more out with the old guard and in with the new. But Brendan has lost popularity and seemed out of favour last series, whereas Anton remains popular. Think Brendan knew his time was up but it seems it was still a shock when he found out!

I feel sorry for lemar. He is not that bad. There are worse than him in the show and at least he does lots of solo skating. Donna keeps getting high scores but has done no solo skating.

Agree re Donna. She looks lovely on the ice but is always holding on to her partner. Judges have criticised others for this but not her.

I agree about the skate off. If they didn't all have to learn two routines just in case they are in the skate off they would have more time to practise their main routine.
