Why let that babay screama nd cry that much.

FFS.

Stop the camera and give the child back to its mother.

She(the mother) must feel so proud to have her babay that upset for cash.

I agree, not fair on the little mite.

misdee · 23/04/2007 20:21

that really upset me as well. poor baby.

PanicPants · 23/04/2007 20:22

Snap - I just started an identical thread.

Think it's disgraceful.

JodieG1 · 23/04/2007 20:22

I have that on in the background and was thinking the same. I hate it when they do that, I've seen it with babies in films and other shows too. It's awful

fireflyfairy2 · 23/04/2007 20:22

What happened?

LadyTophamHatt · 23/04/2007 20:25

I'm in the kitchen and heard it through the wall.

I think its outrageous thatthey do that but even more so that thechilds mother didn't stop the whole thing and take her baby out.

Ok she may have do 10 times before and they've just done it all as quick as possible but FFS....get another aby if yours is so upset.

Greedy fuckers.

Yup, me too ? have just sent an email with my complaint to them via the feed back section of the BBC website

But strangely enough it?s come back with an error.

powder28 · 23/04/2007 20:41

Thought it was just me that thought this!!!!!

ValnBen · 23/04/2007 20:49

Finally got it to take my message of complaint!!!
Guess they may have had a few.
I really can?t understand how they think they can get away with this sort of thing.
Like I said to them ? even if for one second you could convince me that this was not REAL (canned crying/screaming/distress ? makeup for red face - placed tears etc ? not actually real) the point is it LOOKED and SOUNDED real ? very distressing for any mother viewing ? which must be the majority of viewers?

wurlywurly · 23/04/2007 20:51

it was awful i had tears listening to that baby.

LadyTophamHatt · 23/04/2007 20:52

that was deffo real....theres no way on earth they could suggest otherwise.

OP posts:
VeniVidiVickiQV · 23/04/2007 20:53

Alot of it was recorded noise over the top.

Also, they often use two or three different babies for filming.

I did find it very distressing to listen to all the same. It certainly nudges the motherly instincts.

ValnBen · 23/04/2007 20:55

Yup agree LTH ? you only had to look at the way the baby was drawing up his/her legs to see that it was in some REAL distress ? if not all of the distress being portrayed at the time?.

PanicPants · 23/04/2007 20:55

I've just complained on the complaints page of the BBC website.

SeeYouEntee · 23/04/2007 20:56

Yes I was a bit about this too. I've seen them use canned crying with babies in other episodes, but tonight's baby was clearly shuddering in time with the sobs, and had gone all red

LadyTophamHatt · 23/04/2007 21:07

I have too panicpant.

I'm not usually one to complain about stuff (unless it Dh or my kids) but that pisses me right off.

ValnBen · 23/04/2007 21:10

Nope, bounced again?? have resubmitted for the THIRD time?

Apparently my Contact us "feedback" was submitted from the wrong location - WTF??? How hard is it to go to the Eastenders part of the website and click on feedback or send complaint??????

Try again - or should that be take 4!!!

PanicPants · 23/04/2007 21:10

Yes pissed me off too. In fact thats the first time I've ever complained about anything on television.

cheekymonk · 23/04/2007 21:11

Yes I was upset too. Poor poor baby, you could tell by its jerky body movements, red face and the pitch of the cry. I didn't realise I could still be affected like that by another baby's cry...

LadyTophamHatt · 23/04/2007 21:13

how do you know its bounced back VnB?

I haven't had anything yet....

OP posts:
ValnBen · 23/04/2007 21:14

For the record this is my first EVER complaint about any tv program I?ve ever seen!!!!
I will admit to many ?tut-tut? moments but I have never been SO compelled to complain before.

lucy5 · 23/04/2007 21:17

Eastenders got alot of complaints in the early days. Does anyone remember the punk character Mary? There were loads of complaints about all the screaming and shouting that went on infront of her onscreen child and how disturbed she was.

ValnBen · 23/04/2007 21:19

LTH ? got email msg sent stating my mail had been directed to the wrong place?..

As I said ? on each occasion (4 now) ? I have gone to the Eastenders part of the website as directed ? use the A-Z to find the program you wish to comment on. Chose first of all ?wish to make a comment? filled in the required info. First 2 attempts got an immediate on screen message stating ?an error has occurred? ? tried again, only this time clicked ?I wish to make a complaint? ? got error again ? Finally opted for the ?use our Email form? from the same page?..nothing back so far?fingers crossed??????!!

powder28 · 23/04/2007 21:21

Lucy5, wasnt there an episode where Mary left the baby in the cot with the electric heater on and something caught fire. I'm sure there were scenes with the baby in a smoke filled room.

LadyTophamHatt · 23/04/2007 21:21

i went straightto the compliant bit....nothing back yet.
