My LG is 13 months, my father in law bought her a kindle fire kids version and a thing to put it in the car, don’t know if I’m over reacting to her receiving a tablet I just don’t want her to lose interest in her toys and ovb she won’t be getting it all the time!! If ever!! I set it up tonight and it’s got books etc on it which is a good thing thoughts?

It is a bit young, but if she doesn't get it all the time she will still play.

Personally I wouldn't use the books on it, but thats just because I would prefer real books at that age. A little bit of cbeebies while you put a load of washing on, I wouldn't have a problem with that for mine.

Plus if it starts to become a problem you cam always take it away again.

Children these days need to be used to this type of technology, it's a huge part of life now and not having access to it is a disadvantage. But probably more of an issue at an older age.
