bugger -had to work missed it - what happened???

friendlyedjit · 19/04/2007 22:21

bit scared now....i'll be looking out for any strange pots coming into our house!!

MrsKieranMunker · 19/04/2007 22:26

too bizarre to explain, funnypeculiar. nice cough at the end, i thought, but do souls really carry TB through the ether? if so why don't they age?

MrsKieranMunker · 19/04/2007 22:27

oh, and how did he get rumbled for killing his wife? she was on the brink anyway. i missed that as DH was talking to me, the bastard.

scampadoodle · 19/04/2007 22:32

Because the powers that be (Earthly ones, not supernatural!) noticed that she'd been moved after she'd died, though why that should be particularly suspicious I don't know as she was on her last legs anyway. & the cough was daft, as souls wouldn't have illnesses (anyway, a hefty dose of antibiotics would soon see to that!)
A load of hokum, but I loved it - glad they focused on Bill Paterson again & not those Scooby-Doo sidekicks from the last series.

But why isn't it on next week?

starfairy · 19/04/2007 22:32

He didn't kill his wife.

funnypeculiar · 19/04/2007 22:34

ok if you're not going to tell me anything useful ... was it nice & scary?
Why do I need to avoid pots

Does anyone know if it's repeated??

starfairy · 19/04/2007 22:36

Nah not scary, just strange.

Dunno if it's gonna be repeated

funnypeculiar · 19/04/2007 22:37

I am very easily scared, starfairy - was quivering behind a cushion in episode one...

MrsKieranMunker · 19/04/2007 22:38

they've moverd the production down to london and ditched the scooby gang for the moment. i thought it was quite good, actually. and great that he didn't get there in time.

MrsKieranMunker · 19/04/2007 22:38

well, great is possibly over-stating the case.

funnypeculiar · 19/04/2007 22:39

OK, this is really annoying now. Didn't get where on time?

scampadoodle · 19/04/2007 22:39

Yes, MrsK, that was a good twist, wasn't it? Maybe for the best too as the modern wife got to be with her son (sob emoticon) & wasn't stuck with the evil b'stard.

bobsmum · 19/04/2007 22:40

No no no the cough was courtesy of Alisha (sp?) the servant who is still in the house working away with the "light' spirits wreaking revenge on the baddies. Remember she said 'I have no interest in the dark spirits" or something.

That's why when Douglas looked back and saw her at the window he shoved his hands in his pockets and walked back to his car with a wee spring in his step because he knew Alisha would sort 'em out

One off special apparently

starfairy · 19/04/2007 22:41

To the house. To save the day!

scampadoodle · 19/04/2007 22:48

Why did he kill Alisha though? Because she would have tried to stop him conjuring up the bad spirits? She'd already said she'd taught him all she knew.

If the modern couple with the old souls had children would they be the children of the victorian couple or the modern couple? Hmmm, hmmm? Answer that Mnetters!!!

SaintGeorge · 19/04/2007 23:17

Did anyone else think that the museum curator looked a lot like the actress who placed Justine previously?

I doubt that it was obviously, but it threw me for a moment when she came on.

Mumpbump · 20/04/2007 14:34

Did anyone else think that this was a complete rip off of "The Skeleton Key" with Kate Hudson in it? Thought the first episode looked really promising, but last night's episode was a complete let-down...

ellenjames · 20/04/2007 14:37

I thought that too, complete rip off of Skeleton Key.

jodee · 20/04/2007 20:09

anyone tell me what happened to karen's soul then?

scampadoodle · 20/04/2007 22:23

Well, gone to be with her son, according to her-husband-who-was-Robert-Dunbar

foxinsocks · 20/04/2007 22:33

SaintGeorge, I've just watched it now and was convinced it was Justine (and was thinking, why is he pretending not to know her!). Am obviously very unobservant because it wasn't her, was it!
