What else is good to binge watch?
I've seen broadchurch.

Going through a terrible time and need the distraction of a boxset that is enjoyable but can also sort of wash over me.

I really like Sally Cartwright as a tv programme writer.

Unforgotten is also excellent, especially the second series.

WhyOhWine · 23/11/2017 17:44

BODIES

Written by same person as Line if Duty. .......brilliant, gripping!!!!!

buggerthebotox · 30/11/2017 09:31

I've just binged on Bodies, courtesy of dd who's a massive fan of Jed Mercurio.

Utterly brilliant! Has Keith Allen, Patrick Baladi, Matt Beasley, Neve Mackintosh.

Mercurio was a doctor in another life, apparently.

RhiannonOHara · 30/11/2017 11:10

I didn't know about Bodies but it sounds good. Where did you watch it?

reallybadidea · 30/11/2017 11:11

Line of Duty is one of the best things I've ever seen.

I'm also quite enjoying Paranoid at the moment. Binge watched Top of the Lake recently too.

wheresmyphone · 30/11/2017 13:56

God knows where to find it. It's really worth it! I saw it when we lived overseas so not sure when it was on here but if you like Line of Duty I am really confident you will like it....gripping intelligent drama.

CoolCarrie · 30/11/2017 14:36

You can buy Bodies on DVD, or have a look on YouTube.

MissEliza · 30/11/2017 15:03

I'd say Line of Duty is one of the best series the BBC has ever done (except for the first one which wasn't quite the same standard).

CatAfterCat · 30/11/2017 16:45

Vera? A little gentler than others.
Silent Witness.
Unforgotten.
Paranoid.
All thrillers with a strong female lead.

MissEliza · 30/11/2017 18:14

Ooh Unforgotten is a great series. I love the lead actress in it. I think she played a bit of a psycho in Scott and Bailey didn't she?

AnyFucker · 30/11/2017 18:27

.

buggerthebotox · 30/11/2017 18:30

I think I saw Bodies on Amazon Prime.

CatAfterCat · 30/11/2017 18:51

MissEliza she will always be Ruth Evershed (Spooks) to meGrin

SkeletonSkins · 30/11/2017 18:55

I've just come on here to say I absolutely loved Scott and Bailey and miss it terribly :( I love the relationship between the different characters and every time I watch it I become convinced that I absolutely should have been in the major incident unit in another life...

dolfinne · 30/11/2017 19:19

MissEliza Nicola Walker ? she was in last tango in halifax too, most things she appears in seem to be good

CactusCactusCactus · 01/12/2017 09:22

Skeleton TOTALLY agree! Also miss it Blush

buggerthebotox · 01/12/2017 09:55

I thought Happy Valley was due another series?

RhiannonOHara · 01/12/2017 10:10

Happy Valley is coming back but possibly not for a while. Sally Wainwright has been (still is?) writer in residence at the Wellcome Collection and too busy to write it. I think Sarah Lancashire has been ill too.

Hope it's back soon though!

buggerthebotox · 01/12/2017 12:04

....and Line of Duty is not back for ages either....Sad.

RhiannonOHara · 01/12/2017 12:07

Isn't it? How come?

buggerthebotox · 01/12/2017 14:20

I think there are another two series planned, but they are only in the initial stages. Sad.

Hope I'm wrong though! Love LOD, particularly the first 3 series. Found s4 a bit ....i dunno.....dumbed down?

RhiannonOHara · 01/12/2017 15:44

Still, two series to come - yay!

S4 was good, I thought, but went for thrills and cliffhangers rather overtly.
