Can I say that I like Chris B - not the one who was ousted last night...

I would have said he's not pretty enough to play Joseph.

lyrabelacqua · 10/06/2007 16:50

I've just booked tickets to see Joseph on my birthday!
Question for those of you with tickets:
When i booked the tickets, it said they were in the Grand Circle. I've since looked at a seating plan and there is no Grand Circle, just the stalls, dress circle and upper circle. So which will mine be, does anyone know?
I'll probably just have to wait till they arrive and see what they say.

roisin · 10/06/2007 17:45

We're thrilled that Lee won. Even dh voted
We thought it was a travesty when Daniel was voted off, and didn't want a repeat injustice.

I'd actually like to see him in something with a bit more integrity than Joseph.

I'd love to see him in Miss Saigon or Les Mis.

RosaLuxembourg · 10/06/2007 17:57

Agree with you Roisin. Daniel was made for a more serious part. I was gutted when he was voted off, but in my heart of hearts thought perhaps he was not right for Joseph.

Just booked tickets for MY birthday - 21 December - it was really stressful booking them as I lost the first lot and by the time the site let me on again the next seats were a few rows back - have stalls row T. Anyway all of 4 of us are travelling from Newcastle and now googling looking at hotels and they are b... expensive at that time of year. Any suggestions? I must be mad! I will be really cross if he isn't in it that night - no guarantee I suppose. I know you can check on the day but it would be too late then.

Notquitegrownup · 10/06/2007 20:16

Hi MOTB - there's a brilliant Youth Hostel in the middle of Holland Park. You'd have to check whether you can return late, as they lock the park gates, but I seem to remember there is a way. It's a great way to stay in London at a reasonable price.

Enjoy. We're trying to book for Dec too.

motheroftwoboys · 10/06/2007 20:18

thanks for that - I would get on the internet now - they are going fast!

DumbledoresGirl · 10/06/2007 20:45

Another Lee fan here, pleased (though not surprised) that he won. I didn't actually vote (I am past my 30s so I really couldn't, could I?!) but I would love to go and see the show. Does anyone know how far in advance the box office would know if Lee was scheduled to be performing? Who on earth goes on the under study's days? He must play to an empty theatre, or maybe an audience of foreigners who know no better!

Me, my mum and 8 yr old daughter went to see sound of music in feb, w are also in newcastle. Connie had been off sick for a couple of weeks before we went and i was so stressed, gran was ok, daughter putting on a brave face but i could have cried. anyway she was back for the first night just for us and it was fab, so good luck. we always stay in travellodges, well under £100 per night for the four of you and they are really nice. Most of them do stress that there shld be a max of 3 adults in room but they could sleep 4 adults easily, you;d just have to hide while 1 of you booked in!

lyrabelacqua · 10/06/2007 21:34

DG, I avoided buying a ticket for a Wednesday because the price is much lower and there are loads of tickets available, which must surely mean those are the non-Lee nights. He's supposed to be doing 8 shows a week so that must mean most nights and maybe one or two matinees.

btw, me and DP both voted (for the first time ever, I might add) and I'm in my 30s and he's in his 40s

lyrabelacqua · 10/06/2007 21:54

I just looked on another site and they say Lee will not be performing in the week beginning September 10th so don't book then!

Berrie · 11/06/2007 07:45

Helloooooo!
My recording worked thanks Lyra and I think you'll find Lee is engaged to me!
What will Saturday nights be like without Lee in our lives...sob

beansprout · 11/06/2007 09:14

Lee has just been on tv. Bless him, he's gorgeous but he's not mr personality. Like a rabbit in the headlights.

Berrie · 11/06/2007 09:18

I know, pewrhaps it would be best not to watch these things and preserve the fantasy

beansprout · 11/06/2007 09:19

Oh that's definitely intact. Hey, I don't wan't him for his engaging personality and his witty comments

Berrie · 11/06/2007 09:20

Very true Beansprout!

lyrabelacqua · 11/06/2007 09:30

He was obviously just shy and nervous. Poor lamb. I'm sure he'll get better at interviews when he's more used to them.

bunny75 · 11/06/2007 09:36

bless his heart....seemed really nervous but its probably been a tiring weekend. And I quite agree.......who wants to just have a chat with him anyway??!!!!!

bunny75 · 11/06/2007 09:38

must say, was it just me or did anyone else feel a wee bit low yesterday??? kind of a comedown i spose....Saturdays will be soooo dry now!

lyrabelacqua · 11/06/2007 10:02

I'm surprised I've got so into this show. It's not the sort of thing i normally watch.
I spent last night watching clips on youtube, reliving the best bits.
Very sad, I know

ktmoomoo · 11/06/2007 10:06

is any one going to see lee in actual show i wanna go xx

Berrie · 11/06/2007 10:07

No Bunny, I had it all to look forward to this time yesterday, I hadn't seen it yet I felt VERY low knowing I was missing it on Saturday night though!

Berrie · 11/06/2007 10:08

From what I hear, Lee is a bit like that anyway.

beansprout · 11/06/2007 10:09

Like what? Dull?

Berrie · 11/06/2007 10:10

err...no not dull
