For those of us who were left stunned when the mad Spanish thriller ended abruptly, it's back. Looks like the BBC realised that they had made an error and have decided to show the conclusion in 3 double episodes starting tonight at 9pm on BBC 4 rather than leaving it until next year, as originally planned.
We know he's lying but will he get away with it??

I am LOViNG this show. Don’t want it to end. Yes, it’s stretching credibility in parts but it can do no wrong. I am not sure I will cope if he gets away with it though.

Aargh just finished it and what a frustrating ending!!! What I don't get is all this face to face stuff - does that really happen where they randomly put two people in a room and watch them try to outplay each other and then decide whether or not to release them based just on that??

I did love it for the Spanish practice though - any recommendations for other series to watch?

EmilyAlice · 23/11/2017 06:41

Yes I have.
“The Time in Between” which is the TV adaptation of the wonderful Maria Dueñas book “The Seamstress”. You may have to search a bit though, because I watched it on French Netflix and at the time it wasn't available in the UK.

I absolutely loved this! Completely ludicrous. I loved the way all the lawyers were corrupt. Even Eva was getting Sante to lie. And all those twists and turns... Surely somehow there'll be a new series.

QuiteUnfitBit There is a series 2, but it is a novel, not a TV show, it is called Juan Elias's last word (La última palabra de Juan Elías), there is a link about it below, but it is in Spanish, not sure if here is anything about it in English. It mentions that someone in the Elias family is killed, but who? And who did it? Shock....

mundoespanol Google translate was my friend for the web page, but I think I'll have to wait for the English version for the book. Grin Gracias!
