The famous visa problems will strike again

MusicToMyEars800 · 15/10/2017 20:58

I will be well prepared and armed with Wine next week, going to need it Grin

The80sweregreat · 15/10/2017 20:58

Benj will howl another day i bet.
See ya next weekend - off to throw out my dodgy shoes.

JaneJeffer · 15/10/2017 20:59

I thought Ophelia had struck my wifi, spent at least a minute trying to post on the old thread!

dillite · 15/10/2017 21:00

Raahh I might too actually! Fuck. I am taking DD to a Halloween party, and because it's in the arse of nowhere, I will have to stay as well. FUN!

The only way I miss this is if my OH decides to stay in on Saturday, I can't watch it in peace if he is home Grin
No worries of a social life ruining it for me, mine's non existent.

nicenewdusters · 15/10/2017 21:04

I feel slightly exhausted after all that. Well, it's been great as ever. Looking forward to next week's hell. Off to Google Tiny Tony's fate, god knows what that'll do for my internet search history.

dillite · 15/10/2017 21:12

If the final is on the 2nd of December, how many constants are we going to be losing every week? That leaves only 4 weeks for the shows.

OP posts:
Piggywaspushed · 15/10/2017 21:15

Apparently Tone auditioned 10 years ago ,too!

MusicToMyEars800 · 15/10/2017 21:19

dillite Supposed they will have it on telly every night of the week Grin

The80sweregreat · 16/10/2017 06:46

Maybe next weekend will be judges houses, then the 28th is first of the lives - around 6 weeks of live shows. there are usually 3 left in the final, so one a week then one weekend a huge cull or something, or spread over a whole weekend?
2nd december is early for the final.

Rafflesway · 16/10/2017 11:31

Well personally I am bloody fuming!!

I know Benji wasn't to everyone's taste but I thought he was good and, when Tiny Tone was dropped, surely the seat should have been handed back to Benji?

Well no! Apparently the spot has gone to the cheesy guy - Sam - who sings the old 60's songs and proposed to his girlfriend on stage - yuk - when he was dropped at Boot Camp. (Reported in the Daily Fail - yes I know - this morning.)

That, IMO, is a shit decision and an appalling way to treat a 17 yr old. 😡 ( Motherly instincts rising to the surface.)

Raahh · 16/10/2017 11:42

Raffles That is a bit shit. I hate it when then go back a stage- if they were going to give it to anyone, it should have been to another act dropped at the 6 chair stage, really. But we know it's all a fix, and as soon as that proposal happened you knew the producers would have been looking at ways to gain attention from it, and get him back.

I'm not sure, in all honesty, Benji would have survived the live shows. He seemed quite vulnerable, and sooner or later the show would have been accused of exploiting him. It was probably best they let him go when they did.

Rafflesway · 16/10/2017 11:58

Agreed Raahh but I still think the kid should have been given a chance and the trip to Istanbul as Louis has pushed the boat out - literally - this year

Cannot stand LW anyway and his fake behaviour last night just made me hate him even more. 👿👿👿

Raahh · 16/10/2017 12:00

Istanbul?? Grin

Blimey, Louis might make himself ill , going so far away from Ireland!

(and you're not telling me he owns a house thereGrin).

Piggywaspushed · 16/10/2017 15:52

Sam the spindly legged sweetie?

It's because he's a looker ( stick legs aside...)

Catrina1234 · 16/10/2017 17:09

Can't you people who might miss an episode tape it.
What in god's name was Nicole doing in the first half last night (in the red dress) she couldn't keep still and was on her feet and swaying about - at one stage she tried to climb on the chair! Pissed me off - very attention seeking. I was relieved she calmed down a bit when she was judging. I wonder if that No 2 business was all staged?

MusicToMyEars800 · 16/10/2017 17:19

Nicole is off her rocker most of the time Grin
If I miss any I will catch the repeats, but it's not the same as watching and being on the thread.

Piggywaspushed · 16/10/2017 17:33

When she was first on, I thought Nicole was good fun and a bit of fresh air but I just think she has entered self parody now.

I also don't like the way Simon behaves on the Six Cahir Challenge with all the gesticulating and standing up and 'what??'ing... it doesn't seem normal behaviour for him.

It's even more panto than it used to be.

Piggywaspushed · 16/10/2017 17:33

Six CHAIR challenge obvs...

Raahh · 16/10/2017 17:38

Catrina of course I can record it.

But watching it without the thread it really not the same. Grin

The80sweregreat · 16/10/2017 18:33

Louis does that pursing of his lips thing, which my dad still does! he has always been stubborn, but they all seem to be acting strangely.
Nicole used to be nice too, but she seems all wrong this season - maybe they will calm down a bit for the live shows.
Lets face it, there isnt that much talent around this year - a few can sing, but its nothing any different and we've all heard it before and some of them are stuck in a time warp!

MusicToMyEars800 · 16/10/2017 18:33

It's not is it Raahh Grin This thread makes the show worth watching Grin

The80sweregreat · 16/10/2017 18:34

yes, it does make it so funny and your all a witty lot. i would have given up on this show if it wasnt for my x factor friends!!

MusicToMyEars800 · 16/10/2017 18:38

Same 80's I am glad I found you all Grin
I am actually preferring The voice, but That won't be the same now that Gav's not going to be in it Hmm
