I was at a kids football match this morning. One of the opposing team had a really small player. I got over excited at one point and shouted out "Get Tiny Tony".

80's It was funny when she kept forgetting Zaara's name, hopefully she will actually be bothered about her acts this year.

The talent is pretty piss poor this year!

There has been some talent, but the judges perversely seem to turn it away seeming to prefer other attributes than talent.

i wasnt really watching it properly last night to be honest and it seems to be all the same faces too. The judges look bored or nonplussed. its had its day i think.

80's I agree with you, I will be surprised if it runs for another series.. But then again, it will always have people trying to make big stars of themselves by auditioning.

i hate it when they beg , if its a no, then you just leave with your dignity intact and go back to the pubs/ clubs or whatever. we all know they only want the youngsters really!!

I've been trying to find out if we missed something, because I can't see how they can think we will just forget about one of the most memorable, if crap, acts- i.e Slavko. I've drawn a blank.

I thought last year was the poorest year to date. But this year is shaping up to be by far the worst. Simon isn't even pretending to care anymore. The series is shorter, he's not bothered by ratings, or the Christmas number 1 (things which made it an 'event' programme at the start).I don't think it's even a 'physical' release anymore. They rarely get big names guests any more, just X factor ulumni on the cheap- all the members of the Wandies will doubtless perform, as will Little Mix. And the highlight for the final is now a performance with Sherzy. It's a far cry from the early days. Even the Westshoite boys don't appear as much as they once did

I will still keep watching, because I have nothing else to do of a Saturday and the thread has been a tradition for me since 2006- but it isn't a big deal in the way the first Pop Idol was anymore- people really cared whether Gareth or Will won.

But, I think it's going to be the last year every year. And it never is.

Maybe for the next series they will cap the age for older contestants as they've lowered it for younger contestants.. Lets face it an 80 year old auditioning isn't likely to go on and have albums and tours.

i agree that they will have the likes of Louisa Johnson and Matt Terry as the 'big' names and it will just fizzle out by the end.
Even the John lewis ad will be rubbish this year ( i dont know, but that has had its day too!)
they need a new format - not sure what though.
