It's driving me mad! Can anyone tell me who the narrator is? I recognise the voice but can't place it!

Argh!!! AngryConfused

Yes I kind of agree about Kerry

CaptainHammer · 03/10/2017 09:11

They definitely mentioned Suzie had done a lot of mountaineering in previous episodes. It wasn’t mentioned quite as much as Kerry being a pilot though, did anyone else catch that Kerry was a military pilot? Wink
Agree it was a bit like Candice in Bake Off and I’m glad others agree and didn’t warm to her either!

Unihorn · 03/10/2017 09:16

Kerry was impressive from the off because she obviously smashed the helicopter challenge but her lack of scientific knowledge always held her back in think!

I remember being fascinated at Suzie only climbing nameless mountains.

CaptainHammer · 03/10/2017 09:42

Kerry did do well with the helicopter task, only her and Tim did a full hover. However Tim, who’d never flown before, did the best out of the 2 of them!

Unihorn · 03/10/2017 09:55

Yes Tim was very impressive throughout!

I wish it could be a regular series but that would obviously take away from the point. I wonder if they could do it with anything else.

orlantina · 03/10/2017 19:11

Tim definitely has a career in TV and science if he wants it Grin

Kerry wanted to be in space because it was space. Not for the science or the exploration. Just to be in space. I don't think she'd have 'got into' the science bit on board.

A great programme.

CaptainHammer · 03/10/2017 19:21

Orlantina definitely. He’d make a great teacher too, I’m sure I’d have learnt a lot more if my science teachers had been half as engaging and enthusiastic as him!

Petalflowers · 03/10/2017 19:48

Absolutely loved this programme.

I thought Tim was going to win, but I think it was his lack of world experience that let him down. However, I think he will go far, either in the space world or in science geneally. He was a genuine, lovely lad, and definitely the love child of Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory, and Prof Brian Cox.

Kerry was too perfect. She was pretty, flew helicopters in the RAF, and not just at base but in dangerous situations. She had done a masters degree, and was still only in her 30s.

I didn't think we learnt how incredible Suzy was until, the last couple of episodes. When she talked about science, her face lit up and she became animated. She went and explored unknown mountains. The BBC should do a,programme on her exploits (together with Felicity Aston, another incredible female explorer). Suzy had hidden depths we didn't see until, the end.

Unihorn · 03/10/2017 19:56

I love the idea of a Suzy program!

Halsall · 04/10/2017 11:28

Yes, Tim was hugely intelligent and lovely (even if he did remind me a bit too much of that Fast Show character who thought everything was BRILLIANT). He will indeed go far, and it was very touching that his Mum and sister (and the cats, of course) were so proud of him.

Agree about Kerry - I'm afraid I got rather tired of being reminded of her military pilot credentials, then seeing her fall to pieces in any lecture or in-depth talk she had to give. Though of course she was a very impressive individual indeed, she clearly didn't have the extra science background and the amazing mountaineering experience - pioneering stuff in itself - that Suzie could command. Definitely the right choice. I was pleased that Suzie was picked.

Winenight · 04/10/2017 23:27

This has been one of my favourite programs recently! There's no way I would ever make it into Astronaut training but inspiring to see the top performers who could.

Really pleased that Suzie won - I did think she might go all the way a few episodes back. But I also loved Tim and his mum and I was rooting for a fellow northerner!

Oh well onto another Apprentice series now I suppose...
