Anyone watching? I remember trying and failing to read it when I was younger.

I don't think I've ever seen a scene as shocking in a while as the sheep one.

I recorded it. I'm a Michael Sheen fan (I'm annoyed to be missing Masters of Sex because no UK channel has picked it up) but all the comments about the sixties version being superior has put me off watching this.

It was an easy watch but if I'm honest lacking some of the grit of the book.

I agree that whilst I enjoyed this version it was all about wooden or maybe understated, imo. The book is much more emotional and a real page turner.

Yes, Bolwood did not come across mad enough in this version!
