We are up to date with Veep and Silicon Valley, which we have really enjoyed. Struggling to find something new, and ideally on Netflix, Sky or Amazon Prime.

Something light - no darker than Breaking Bad, for sure, and ideally 30 minutes long for a quick fix... hit me with your recommendations!

Master of None is on Netflix

TheUnseenAcademic · 24/07/2017 22:17

'It's always sunny in Pennsylvania' on Netflix. Season one was super low budget and the actors rather unpolished but it gets glossier (I think they're up to season 10 now!). It's a very particular type of humour though, so doesn't suit everyone!

junerat · 24/07/2017 22:18

Thank you - will give them a shot.

Catastrophe - currently 3 short series and I've watched them all in 2 days Blush

It's on Amazon.

Joinourclub · 24/07/2017 22:22

I love Master of None!
Also keen on Always Sunny, though I hated it when I first watched it.
Parks and Recs is another goodun.

NapQueen · 24/07/2017 22:22

Modern Family

MamaG1980 · 24/07/2017 22:23

Grace and frankie on Netflix. Love it

IdentifiesAsASloth · 24/07/2017 22:24

Parks and recreation!
It took me a while to really like it but once I did I loved it. The characters are brilliant

OlennasWimple · 24/07/2017 22:25

Have you "done" Modern Family?

MargotLovedTom1 · 24/07/2017 22:25

The Goldbergs.

MargotLovedTom1 · 24/07/2017 22:26

Early Modern Family is great but it does go off the boil.

MargotLovedTom1 · 24/07/2017 22:26

Agree with Catastrophe and Grace & Frankie. Both brilliant.

Catastrophe is great.
Not keen on 'it's always sunny...'

junerat · 25/07/2017 08:04

Yes, love Catastrophe and ModernFamily. Community was great for the first two seasons, but went off I felt.

Lots of recommendations for Master of None, so will give that a shot for sure.

Grace and Frankie is great and it has such a good cast, worth checking out.

Constantlurker · 25/07/2017 17:26

Another vote for master of none! Best thing I've seen in years!

Wombat45 · 25/07/2017 17:29

Brooklyn Nine Nine

Strummerville · 26/07/2017 00:03

I love Parks and Rec, and Always Sunny (though, like a pp, I disliked the latter at first - it took some time for me to understand its mindset, then suddenly it was brilliant!). Also adore Arrested Development.

My biggest loves are Archer and Rick & Morty. I could literally figuratively watch them forever and never get bored.

Strummerville · 26/07/2017 00:06

I didn't really like Master of None. Everyone seems to love it, but I just found it a bit trying-to-be-whimsical-and-cute, I think. I mean...it was OK. Just OK. But I'm in a minority there, clearly. I did enjoy THE SICKENING Grin

Scrupilydupily · 26/07/2017 00:09

It's always sunny, I also wasn't a fan now I love it

Mamazita · 26/07/2017 00:14

Goldbergs is hilarious

Lucked · 26/07/2017 00:16

I enjoyed Life In Pieces on Amazon prime. A bit modern familyesque.

squishysquirmy · 26/07/2017 00:26

I love Brooklyn 99 - lighthearted, slightly silly surreal humour.

junerat · 26/07/2017 08:47

I thought Brooklyn 99 was okay, but found it a bit wearing after a while. A few really good lines, but found it hard to really like any of the characters.
